I liked Geoff Carter's style, when I say liked I mean I didn't want to kill him quite as much as the rest of them.7 points

So after 3 weeks of jungle I treated myself to some civilized lunch at my favorite Belgian restaurant in Seminyak. It is a rather small place without pretention but they serve excellent food at very decent prices. A bit strange presentation of the cuttlerie, but why not ? Escargots as starter . Perfect taste. Carbonnade flamande (Belgian beef stew) as main. Very tasty, can definitively taste the beer flavor, and very tender meat. Chocolate mousse for dessert. 2 Leffe beer, one blonde and a brune, and that's me happy and properly filled. All in 415 k IDR (920 Thb) , very good value for money.4 points

I have got to the point that I really don't want a drink even though I could, kind of lost the plot somewhere. Failed miserably at the Reading meet but will try lager next time. Thing is the less I drink the less I crave it, may help you in the long run. I think your present position is to keep off booze altogether; difficult to know if down the line introducing a few drinks socially on occasions will lead to heavy drinking again. Only need to see how Krapow has coped to seeing the obvious benefits of not drinking. I drive for a living so I don't drink before duty which means I don't drink at least 5 days out of 7 but recently I have found it difficult to drink when I have the opportunity. Maybe get a driving job, it might unexpectedly help.4 points

a pain free day/night,remembering past glory/bullshit times, not needing my family to fuss over me not having my sister telling me off, over some bullshit I've done or supposed to have done. not getting pissed off because I can't fly. one day I will just get up and piss off, and no I not looking for sympathy. can not drink and smoke as much as I did over 50yrs plus over 350 games of grade rugby league and expect to have a pain free old life. SHIT! I would not change anything of my past, maybe not pissed off some of the women or bouncers[bastards] that I have met in my younger days would like to spend a few more nights on the drink with a certain mad hammers supporter, also the best camera man from Hungary down Koh Chang oh! I do rave on regards grayray3 points

Same here, having cut down nearly completely on booze on leaving HKG, I dont "appreciate" it anymore. 20 days at the jungle house I had 10 large Bintangs, so around 1/2 per day. A year ago when arriving it was 2 or 3 plus 2 whisky. I dont miss it, feel better, and save some money as well. Anyway, couldn't go on as before considering my age.....2 points

You and me together, I have never watched a Vlog (never even heard of the term before this forum), My only experience of a Vlog is when they have been posted here and that just confirmed my thoughts that they are of no real use to me. Don't tell Mr Egg though as I just saw his video on Facebook, nice view of the sea though.2 points

The first 4 or 5 years were Magic. I remember I could not get to the bar to work fast enough. That was in a time when the Girls needed the bar and those days are long gone now.2 points

I dont follow anyone n particular, however i do like Geoff Carter stuff, I am sorry to hear that Kev in Thailand is poorly, I just can not stand his videos one iota, seen him a few times walking around town, but just not my cup of tea, a reason for me not to go to the Hideaway on a Wednesday night,1 point

Tastes much better than ham. PLUS A ham version is a ham version is about 2,000mg sodium (83%DV), yes about all the sodium for a full day on a normal diet ... and three times what I am allowed in a day. My home-made smoked salmon is about 300mg (8%DV) when making my own hollandaise sauce from scratch.1 point

It is my favourite beer. The trick to enjoying it properly from a bottle is to pour it really fast, almost the exact opposite way you would normally. Takes a couple of goes and you have to wait till the head reduces but it is well worth it and nearly tastes like it came from a pump. One of life's pleasures 🙂1 point

Ed Sweeny's a joke- saw him doing a "review "of one of the Indian hotels on Soi Honey where he claimed to be staying- maybe they gave him a night for free. Did see him having breakfast in Game On and to be fair to him he came across OK, at least he was polite to the staff. He was wearing the old school Singha vest wardrobe, didn't do him any favours as the guy is more hairy than Richard Keys!! I tried out a couple of his recommendations in PP, as quality as his Soi Honey hotel- avoid!!!1 point

Morning cup(s) of coffee. Love it every morning. Now that I have cut down on going to the pub after work each day I am now having a cup of tea when I get home sitting out the backyard looking at the garden.1 point

I'm scared that my mum in her 70s will fall for one of these email scams even though I warn her all the time. I monitor her emails regularly and delete all the suspect ones.1 point
