Neither do the guys need bars .why pay bar fines when you can get them in Thai friendly .I think the bars have changed a lot of the years and that’s why so many are closing down.

I've earned several free flights on my CC points over the years. Have 2 or 3 trips worth of points on the books now. Cash doesn't give me that, although when in LOS I use cash for daily type exchanges. Pain in the ass though dealing with that change at the 7/11 and you have your hands full with someone breathing down your neck.

I am purely a cash guy .. except paying people that work for me .... then I deposit cash into an account and pay them ... When I get checks .. I cash them .. stash the cash in many places ... I use cash for everything I buy ... ( houses, cars, boats, everything ) I keep some baht in all of my debit card accounts .. but, I rarely use them I like prepaid debit cards .. you throw some baht on the card and throw away when the balance is zero .. Seems like cash is still "king" when you want to get a deal from someone else ( house .. car .. etc. )

Back in the Philippines after a month in Vietnam, HCMC, Nha Trang and Dalat. Heading back to Pattaya early June for two months.

Italians are known for being very "viril" drivers. But here, on the fire brigade fair open day, Giovanno overdid it a bit ..... Sure succeeded to impress his g/f , but not sure about his C.O. !

I,m on the second episode now. Its informative and of course more upsetting for people with kids, especially of similar age. There but for the grace of god was mentioned. I don,t feel angry yet, to be honest l wouldn't, know who to direct my anger at? My Thai mother-in-law goes to a place once a year where the Grandfather ghost is and pays merit thanking him that nothing disastrous has happened to the family that year. Back in 2000 I was working at the BAe plant at Woodford & I would go into Holmes Chapel from my digs in the evening for a feed & some ale. Always got the same cab back to my digs,an old Merc limo driven by a really nice old guy. One night he's going really slowly & I quickly realised it was because he wanted to tell me a story. He'd picked up a fare in Stoke for a return trip to Wembley & it turned out to be Gordon Banks,going down to Wembley for the closure of the old stadium. He said GB sat in the front & they chatted all the way down & when they got there he invited him to have lunch with him in the stadium. It was when they were selling off all the memorabilia & the old cab driver ate lunch sat between GB & Pele with all the other surviving legends also there. I thought it was a really nice story & showed Gordon Banks to be a really nice bloke. & a truly great goalkeeper!
