the newbie is me. I finlly got to come here. in Saigon now and day 2 of a short escape. First impressions : clean, no fuckin dogs around and bustling city without cars but a shed load of bikes. loving the food and the atmosphere at the weekend here in the old city. Weather this mornign was super cool, yesterday mid afternoon was also cooler than Thailand. Will post photos later but will be crap compared to the good ones from others I know. But really happy here. nice hotel, freindly people etc etc. (damn I sound like a newbie thailand 555)7 points

Thanks to all who have come to the bar during silly season. It’s been great. The bar isn’t anywhere near the water games so it’s a designated dry zone. A few girls gone home and many are barfined for several days so things are a bit quiet. Really enjoyed watching the Masters the other night. History in the making. I’m taking the rest if Songkran off so I’ll see you all on Saturday. The girls will keep you entertained in my absence. If you have any problems with the service in the bar whilst I’m Not there, please let me know. When the cat is away..... my cellphone number is 090-820-1125 Thanks see you all soon.7 points

Don't worry about that at all. The subject matter of the photo is far more important than the quality. Personal photo's bring the forum to life.3 points

Actually, they're designed to allow water to drain down. But even in a moderate rain shower they're quickly overwhelmed by the volume of water in which case they might as well use them as plant pots.3 points

I can just imagine the recipe.... Take some dog's dangly bits. Boil in water for 3 hours. Throw dangly bits away, pour liquid on food....2 points

Cheese (French Emmental) omelette with pasta left overs. I add a bit of cream to the eggs, in order for the omellette to be a bit more fluffy. And of course it is served a bit liquid, not dry burned in oil.... Hahaha, one of the male family members told my Miss "you're lucky, no need to take care of cooking for your husband.." Of course, impossible for a proper Indonesian male to be seen cooking... And when they see me washing the dishes....😱😱😱 Lucky the Missus son has been properly educated, and he does cook and wash dishes... Although now that he is married I guess he will delegate to his wife ?2 points

4 winnable games for Liverpool, and 2 tricky games for City.If they win the first two Liverpool will be under major pressure.1 point

I once missed the first race at Chester races because I was enjoying so much Tommy Smith being interviewed on the car radio. He told a story also about having a bad knee but as he knew it would be targeted when he next played he put the support bandage on the good knee! As a gooner I both hated him when Liverpool was in Town but admired him as the definitive football hard man. He also spoke about his ongoing "relationship" with Malcom McDonald which was priceless.1 point

One of the Apps on my Minix Box gets BBC 1 (Scotland) so I was able to watch Hearts semi final. I was at Hampden and living in Corstorphine when we beat Rangers to win the Cup. Celtic will be obvious favorites but we have beaten you this season so you never know. 😀1 point
