I'd need the gravy to to try and hide the taste of the cauliflower. To be honest except for potatoes and pumpkin I don't like vegetables much at all. I never not eat anything put on my plate and will eat all the veg but just prefer not to. Always try to order chips and salad with my meals if I can.1 point

I took a picture of this vehicle this afternoon. It was obviously driven by a senior police officer and was playing a recorded message (in Thai) from a loudspeaker. Can anyone give any indication as to what the message is? It looks like an app.

It was a family-owned-and-operated bar that had been going since 2001 with a strong Danish angle. I believe the original owners sold it to another Danish bar owner. I don't know if it will re-open as Rich Bar or under a new name. It was in need of renovation. Here's a pic from Facebook of the closing party at the end of April.

That menu looks familiar! I guess the buyers of the Chunky Monkey didn't ask Robin to sign a non-competition agreement. 🤣 A couple of pages to illustrate. When the Chunky Monkey first opened, the food was pretty good, but went downhill fast. I wonder if the same will happen with the Hippo, which has plenty of competition in the Soi Bukhao area at the low-price end of the restaurant scale. The only way it can succeed is to take customers away from other restaurants. There's simply not enough butts in town, hippo- or monkey-sized, to fill all the seats. Let's hope the Hungry Hippo succeeds in dishing up decent food at low prices on a long-term basis. Good luck, Robin! Evil

Well, straight after finishing in the office hit the casino. Got there early, had some dinner (black card, so free food and booze . . 😁). Sea bass - most of the food is crap, but they do this well . . . The GM opened the 3 card poker for me, 5th hand nice straight flush, 8, 9 and 10 of diamonds, 35/1 with £20 on it, thank you very much . . . A few flushes but some crap too, but walked out 90 minutes later £1k up . . . nice start to the weekend . . 😀

You saw the Dead in 1970? Lucky bastaad. I didn't have the pleasure of seeing them until 1983 and again in the 80's a few times. Then I followed them around in the early 90's on the East Coast. 23 concerts later I had to give it rest as I needed to get a career and my Dead Head days came to a close. Then when Jerry passed, my interest diminished even more.1 point
