Thanks Steelers. Just been swapping messages with @nampla69, he's suggesting a take out from Devil's Den. Must say that sounds attractive this afternoon as it's bloody hot and humid out there. Been out to change some money (36.87) was the best I could get. Yeeks. Sweating my nuts off with a 100 yard walk and back. Be good if they came to me . . . Anyway, don't want to TF my own thread, so will keep off the taboo subject . . 😉3 points

Good Soi as Namps says for seeking out girls to come to your room later on. I used to take a walk down there many times and look for a cutie for session usually just a BJ. If they had skills, I would get their Line or phone #. Every single time they had no problem coming to my condo at a future time. No BF and mai pang (not expensive) for LT (real LT btw). It's just another avenue to sidestep the overpriced GG girls.3 points

I did several reviews of the Chunky Monkey; the first one covered the pork chop special that cost 79 baht when the CM first opened in October last year (Under 300 Baht And Good! post #25). If the pic above is accurate, the 99-baht pork chop has gotten a bit bigger but lost the fried onions and applesauce. Some pics from that review: The problem was the food at the Chunky Monkey went down in quality quickly and the next meals I had there were included in the Under 300 baht and Mediocre thread. After a couple of less than good meals, albeit at cheap prices, I gave up on CM. I believe it's a question of terminology. You are giving examples of the markup on the meals at the CM, i.e., the difference in the cost of the ingredients and the price at which the meals are sold. That's not the same thing as the net profit (total revenue minus all costs of running the restaurant) on which the profit margin is based. The markup can be relatively high, but the profit margin can still be razor-thin (or non existent) when all costs are taken in account. The big factor for restaurants, bars and other businesses in Pattaya- and elsewhere, for that matter- is the rent. If it's low enough, the business may be able to survive with a very low profit margin. If the rent goes up, that will often wipe out the profit margin entirely. In the 1980's in Saudi Arabia, I had roast camel stuffed with a roast sheep stuffed with chicken that were stuffed with eggs. The pic is from the Internet and gives a general idea, I didn't like it. The camel meat was tough and gamey, the mutton and chicken were greasy. Evil3 points

I now save 6,500 USD (5,400 GPD) per year by not smoking. I have used the extra cash to help payoff my condo. My mortgage will paid in full way before 2022 when I retire. I want to be debt free when I live abroad 10 months a year. Going to let my nephew live in the condo at a very low rental price. (Very low)2 points

Just found this on the World wide web... Clever Tips For Quitting Smoking Once & For All There are numerous reasons why it makes sense not to smoke, yet many people find it difficult to quit the habit. The nicotine is the problem, as smokers experience withdrawal symptoms only a few hours after their last cigarette. It's therefore extremely tough to beat the addiction, but we've come up with 8 tips that'll make giving up a little easier. Hopefully, your "final cigarette" will actually be your last... 1. Set A Date Whether it's the start of a new year or in the middle of the week, people who want to stop smoking should set a date on which to officially quit. Having a quitting date can help you mentally with the withdrawal process and motivate you to build on your smoking-free days. 2. Write A List Of Reasons SaveBored Panda15arsmediaDies & Das Once the date is set, it makes sense to think about the reasons why you want to stop. Whether it's to save some money or for your health, write these reasons down and take a look at the list every time you get the urge to smoke. This should help you stay on the right path. 3. Identify Triggers To be able to quite smoking in the long-term, it's necessary to identify key triggers. In which situations do you reach for the cigarettes? Parties and alcohol are the most common triggers. In the future, you should try to avoid situations that you connect with smoking and replace them with positive habits. 4. Think About The Savings Another common reason for quitting is the money you can save. We recommend coming up with a plan for what to do with the savings. A short break somewhere? New clothes? You should treat yourself for showing such great discipline! You can work out how much money you'll save using this online calculator. 5. Distract Yourself From Urges The urge for a cigarette usually lasts for about 5 minutes. That's why it's a good idea to think of 5-minute strategies to fill this time instead of reaching for the smokes. For example, you could listen to your favorite song, snack on some fruit or take a stroll until the urge to smoke goes away. 6. Get Active Being active has many benefits. As well as providing distraction from lighting up, exercise does a lot for your health in general. Doing sports will also help combat any unwanted weight gain, which is a common side effect of quitting smoking. 7. Spend Time With Non-Smokers Spending time with friends who don't smoke can help a lot during the withdrawal process. If you're often seeing people with a cigarette in their hand, you're more likely to want one. It might also be worth asking friends who smoke to refrain from doing so while they're in your company. Another tactic is to give up smoking with a friend — a problem shared is a problem halved! 8. Use Nicotine Gum & Patches When it comes to withdrawal symptoms, the beginning is always the hardest part. As the nicotine levels in your blood sink, you may feel more nervous, irritable and hungry than usual. In this instance, it may be best to try nicotine gum and patches, so that your body is slowly weened off the drug. Quitting smoking is far from easy. But if you manage to beat the habit, you can improve your way of life and make some considerable savings. Though some of these tricks might not work for you, it's certainly worth giving them a try!2 points

So hung around LK last night, watched the Ipswich game in Rock House, Alex kindly put it on for me. Had one particular girl on TF that looked nice, was swapping messages with her throughout the game and decided to give her a try. She's a beautician in a local salon, finished work at 10 pm, so I thought, ok, I'll see you after the football. Agreed 1500 short time and arranged to meet her at 11.15 in the lobby of Evergreen. So she shows up very drunk. That's something that really pisses me off, I'll never take a girl from a gogo or bar if they're pissed. In 5 minutes she gave me her life story, how her farang husband had recently left her, she doesn't want to go with men but now he's gone she needs money, I'm the first blah blah blah. She said she spoke to her boss who allegedly advised her to go to her first customer drunk. Couldn't believe it. This all happened in the lobby too, thankfully nobody else about. She got her marching orders. She was upset and knew she'd done the wrong thing, so I gave her 500 baht and told her to go home. That's 3 girls I've had from TF, 2 out of 3 have been successful. The gogo dancer gets back tonight, she's sending me messages from the bus right now. 11 hours sat in a bus must be mind numbing. I'll see her tonight for a drink, but moving tomorrow so won't have a late one and will sleep alone. As I have full tanks after last nights failure I think I'll sort out a massage today. There's a couple in the road opposite that I can see from my balcony and there's a new place open directly beneath my balcony. I swap waves with the girls when I'm out having a smoke, but they don't look like the naughty sort. @nampla69 has recommended a place on Soi Honey - have walked down that street and it's full of massage places. But I prefer it in my room, so may wander over the road and see if I can persuade one to come over to my place.2 points

25rh March 2019 I stubbed out my last smoke and went cold turkey AND it was easy. Why was it now easy when I had failed so many times before? Because this time I really wanted to. Not one more. I could go next door and scrounge a smoke when I smell the neighbours out having a fag and on previous attempts I probably would have. But this time my thinking is different, I’m at a good party right now, Thai Wife’s friends 40th , live band and lots of drunk Thai women, and plenty of smokes getting handed about, but I am not even tempted. I’m bored because I have a 90 minute drive home so not drinking. Too easy to have just one smoke. But that is bullshit, there is not one more smoke, if I wanted a smoke I would go to the tobacconist and buy a carton and a new lighter and ash tray , any thought of having a smoke has just evaporated. CM went up for sale a whopping one month after it was opened.....I will say Robbin has a real talent for getting the punters in the door and getting out the back door with a profit....I bet the HH will be up for sale too...1 point

Some interesting results this weekend, especially the spanking of Chelsea. Sorry Dave! For anyone unsure about the pickings in their current team, you can play the wildcard and select a whole new team. If you then sort by Form you'll be able to see and select players who did really well, at least this opening weekend, for a bargain. That will leave you funds for the favourites. Best of luck gents. Game on!!1 point

Hi BB. Sorry, got the message about Sunderland game too late. Glad you enjoyed it. Catch you later.1 point

That's why I tried to also look at some of the costs of running the place and used the example of 10 dishes paying the salaries for a day. farangme has rightly pointed out a lot more, and also the Thai human factor which you can't really put a price on. Robin, if anyone, would know all this but still does it and must get something out of it other than just selling it on at a profit a few months later?1 point

Mmmmmm . . . as a PM ok, will see what else I can dig out . . I did have a convo with John Luke about the pics I posted before, so have it from the horses mouth, so to speak.1 point

We outplayed them the entire game but couldn't get the 2nd goal. Then the inevitable defensive balls up cost us a draw . . . so frustrating. I was gonna say we "hammered" them, but thought better of it as that might make you think of other results . . 😉 Really pleased with how we played though. Bodes well for the season.1 point

Oh my.....DeChambeau took 2:08 to hit an 8 footer. Social media blasted him, as expected. Now he gets upset in front of the media, saying some of it is the caddies fault and he walks very fast, so he’s allowed to take more time over the shot. Is this guy for real?1 point

Yes Pumps, but consider the fortune you save on flights and travel expenses . Got wife's 2 year visa and flight for £1000. Schengen visa another £100. Will go back with her early December, probably another £500 or so for my flight. The genuine experts there permanently have escaped all that. Just a point as I enjoy the variety and travelling but it's hurting financially. Sent from my P00C using Tapatalk1 point
