I have enjoyed the Robin Hood at the Avenue many times. Nice place if you live in that area for a meal. Nice, new clean, good AC, good views, plenty of space, good menu,,,, close to home. They also offer very good daily specials.

One of my favourite spots too when I am in BKK - they do a great breakfast deal for 99b before noon and have draft beer deals too, great place to pop in and cool down after a good walk on Sukhomvit...I usually hike down to the Dasa book store a little further down the road and stop into the Robin Hood afterwards..

I have eaten there only once. I had fish and chips. The chips were soggy and each chip was very large. The fish was fried in batter. The batter was almost sold on the outside and soggy on the inside - consistent with being cooked in fat that was too hot.

My "friend" who knows about these things says it is OK ......Steels have you ever met a Thai woman who says Thai food is great if they have not made it themselves.??? Baw saep (not tasty in Lao) as they always grumble mai phet / phet maak / etc etc Mostly its good but avoid Sunday carvery unless you like eating shoe leather / buffalo and warthogs ass. Breakfast are good and they now serve Guinness too ....

The only time my gf ate thai food there she said it was ok, nothing special, but big spicy, when she asked for little spicy. The other times she had chicken and mushroom pie, and pork chop!

With all these eateries closing down, maybe my fat arse will lose a ton of weight if there’s nowhere left to eat next year

Sorry to hear that, bloody horrible news. My sister-in-law suffered with breast cancer for four years, going into remission after chemo then six months later the b*stard would be back. I know what a sledgehammer blow that news is. Best of luck to you.

Well, she cooked this for us the other day. Kung pao shredded chicken. This is the Scottish version that's popular here. If you've tried it you'll know how good it is. Different from the English and other ways they cook it.

BeIN have lost the rights to the EPL and now they are held by True. It’s easier for me to make bullet points. * Gold package holders no longer get BeIN channels, they are a free add on to the Platinum package but they DONT show EPL anyway. * True channels 600-605 now show the EPL It’s an add on if 199฿ a month for the first 3 months, then 299 after that. * EPL channels are free on the Platinum package * If you only want EPL can I suggest that you just subscribe to a cheaper package, like sports, or even just the free channels, then have the EPL as an add on. * even cheaper, get a Chromecast and TrueID subscription for the season 2,500฿ for the season, with unlimited on demand playback.
