Live was the worst for me,plenty there loved a row. Mike Asia after he had a skinfull, one ball wanted to fight me etc. Half the forum seemed pissed most of the time. 😁2 points

To get an OA you've always had to show a medical report as well as a police check from your home country, but they've never applied those rules to a Non-O and annual extensions. Whatever their logic there, I see no reason why they would treat health insurance any differently.1 point

You're absolutely right as the head of immigration has outwardly said that the offices can basically read into the rules how they wish and however suits them we see this all the time. Read about it all the time on Thai Visa. Let's just hope the jomtien IO people get it right.1 point

People on extensions wont randomly be surprised by a request for insurance from some arsehole immigration officer... when this insurance requirement extends from those on a visa to include those on an extension it will be well publicized. No need to expect the unexpected in this instance.1 point

My guess it's local factories and auto emissions. This site tracks fires and it's nowhere close to what it looks like during the burning season. And this site shows wind direction and intensity. If anything, not much wind in the area which may explain the higher pollution levels.1 point

Just had another 75 inch telly installed. It’s ok to watch from the bar area or sitting in the seats near to the other big telly. Two 75 inch TVs now. Not bad for a little beer bar. Always improving.1 point

Got back from my bike ride just before the heavens opened up. It was a short lived thunderstorm, but the rain should help clean up the air a bit. Snapped this pic on my ride near the top of Khao Talo. A view I'm more used to seeing the end of December rather than near the beginning of October.

Remember my post about Tequila Sunrise in Jomtein? It never re-opened He sold it and new owner looking to sell. I warned people what the kitchen was like. The cheap Charlie brigade loved it and He managed to pump and dump it by selling give away food. I hope the people who ate there every day are not feeling queasy! And this wasn't Thais that did this. The English owner did all the cooking.
