  8. a neighbor down the road decorates for the upcoming Halloween festivities. Here he gets a visit by a group of wild turkeys. They are great fun to watch but as far as eating goes.... the domestic ones you buy from the markets taste a hell of alot better than the wild ones.

  9. Cliff, when wifey and I went to Las Vegas summer 2017, I called Counting Cars as you know it is out of Las Vegas. They said they do not do tours or anything, the popularity of that show is off the hook on the History Channel still. Danny, Ryan and "Horny Mike" do some incredible work huh? Motorcycles too. We watch it in Bangkok and here in Calif. For my money, I would have them make me one of these Camaros from the Reno show we went to in 2016. Ever watch "Pawn Stars" from Las Vegas also on the History Channel? We did go in there, cool place and bought a few things.

  13. The surgeon that did my hips at my government Hospital told me he probably would have been the same person that did them in bumungrad had I had to have them done and pay for them there I'm not concerned with the medical here did the government hospitals I've always been treated very well. Never had to wait a tremendous amount of time but that's changing as they get busier. But with that said I'm not 100% sure not even 20% sure that they'll accept the Social Security insurance as the insurance needed by expats. And based on my mystery illness and being paralyzed due to it a few years ago I'm not sure I would be able to get cover with any insurance company other than the government insurance that I have with Social Security. Time will tell one thing for sure it's going to be a f***d up situation for many myself included possibly.

The Bozo currently has a majority of minus 45 you have to wonder how the hell this will pass if all the opposition votes against (they will) Going to come down I suspect to Labour rebels voting with the Government

  24. My Gosh, A 2 week travel insurance for a 35 y old family for 2 weeks is peanuts, hence not an issue if one day Thailand want to implement mandatory insurance for tourists. Discussed many times and up to now nobody has an idea how to implement that, except including a governement scheme fee in any ticket to Thailand. A yearly health insurance for a 65 y retiree is a completely different matter. Prohibitive, if not impossible, for many expats. Very easy to implement and enforce for the government. Please THINK !

  30. Would not be a big burden to gov hospitals ! We are speaking here about long term expats, mainly retirees, who represent a microscopic % of the total population. And from those only the poorest would opt for the govt hospitals. Remember those number do NOT concern the tourists fallen ill, or victims of traffic accidents.

  31. No idea on the pre-exisitng conditions, I don't use it. Given there is a few different non immigrant visa's I reckon the 150k is low but there seems to be no official number. https://news.thaivisa.com/article/38177/the-mystery-of-exactly-how-many-expats-live-in-thailand

  34. Does it cover outpatient? Their requirement for outpatient coverage will be the issue for me. I have great inpatient coverage through IMG, but no outpatient coverage as I've always been willing to pay out of pocket for anything that doesn't require hospitalization.

  35. Considering the name of the thread is, "Shitfeasts Secrets and other forums," and was started by a board Admin, it seems this would be the right place to discuss such matters. The shitfests; flame wars; posts by the conmen and frauds who tried to twist the boards to their own purposes;, the guys who used many handles; etc., are all part of the Pattaya board experience. No harm in discussing the less saluatory side of punter boards, although the shitfests also contained some of the funniest posts. I think of it this way: "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." By recalling the worst of the old boards, we can avoid such posts in the future. Evil

  36. This rise is the result of Sterling advancing against the Dollar. One of the reasons I have to point out time after time in a big FB group on Thailand (and an expat group lol) of whom at least half are unable to grasp their is no direct exchange rate between Sterling/Baht but in fact its the sum of two pairings and movement in either pairing affects the bottom line This forum membership is clearly brighter no question I wonder if its because we're older in the main ?? Mind you "expat" group should be likewise lol

  38. So many bad calls in the NFL this year, and this GB-Detroit game was just the latest example. How many bad calls can be tolerated by the league? You barely even touch a quarterback these days and it's roughing the passer. It's BS! The horrendous officiating is robbing teams of a just victory. That missed pass interference call for the ages in the Rams-Saints game last post season was the most egregious example, but it seems that the refs haven't got a clue as to what constitutes a penalty and what doesn't. The only thing for certain is that St. Brady of the New England Patriots, who is the patron saint of the hallowed "tuck" rule, shall not have his jersey or any part of his anatomy touched, caressed, massaged, accidentally brushed or bumped in passing by a defender, or in any way have his vision or passing lane be infringed upon by said defender. It may be permissible however to wink at him, but only if it is 3rd down and more than 20 yards to go for a first down. The face of the league has to be protected at all costs after all.

  39. Today delights are ribeye steak from the ASDA which is not bad at all for the price. I always fry onions when having steak and then i cook the steak as hot as possible. Then the onions, tomatoes and cheese is used to top the steak. It was lovely.

  40. Just 2 games in and already a couple of huge names have gone down to injury, both Super Bowl winning quarterbacks, Ben Roethlisberger of the Pittsburgh Steelers, who is lost for the year, and Drew Brees of the New Orleans Saints, out with a torn ligament in the thumb of his throwing hand, and will miss potentially 8 weeks. Something I have always wondered about is why head coaches never give the backup qb hardly any reps with the first team since that player is just a play away from going in. In North American team sports, the quarterback is the single most important position for any team, but it never fails to amaze me how there is such a huge drop off in execution of play between the starter and the backup. I saw it with my own team, the Oakland Raiders, when our qb, Derek Carr went down with an injury and the back up was just atrocious. So it goes with many teams in the NFL. Could be a long year for Pitt and New Orleans.

  41. Spot on. To lose a whole season refusing $12 million because you wanted $16( maybe my numbers are off) is foolish. And his position of running back is quite funny that way. They finish college at 21 or 22, and are usually signed for 4 years at a low salary. Once they have proven themselves, they are “ entitled” to a huge raise, often over $10 mill a year. But once they reach 31 or 32, many have already slowed down and lost a step and suddenly no team will re-sign them unless they take a huge pay cut. Compare to QB like Brady still making top $ in their early 40’s Im a huge statistics guy, and the yardage record is just over 18,000 by Emmitt Smith. So many RB reach 10,000 yards quickly, looking like they might break his record, and suddenly they are injured or retired before they even hit 13,000! It is a young man’s position. Barry Sanders would have destroyed the record, but retired healthy at age 30. Adrian Peterson I feel is one of the best ever, but just lost 2 full years due to injury and his child abuse conviction. Ray Rice had 6k by age 26, but never played another game due to socking his wife on camera. Bell would also easily have been top 5 all time had he not skipped a year. The list goes on and on. Let’s just say Emmitt’s record is very safe. He was not the best IMO, but was very durable and played behind an offensive line of 330 pound monsters who blocked very well. Larry Allen was one of them, an amazing specimen. I wish I could upload the clip, he once chased down a linebacker who intercepted a pass, preventing a touchdown. The guy was 80 pounds lighter and had a 20 yard head start, and Larry still caught him. Unreal
