Restaurants, pubs doing everything they can to stop the virus spreading including, table service, wearing of masks when not seated, booking via apps, screens between tables or more distance between those seated, being met by a staff member with a mask on to pass on info etc = blame for the virus spreading so must close down. School run, no masks, no social distancing, the same 6 adults everyday standing all within 2 metres having a good old natter, headmistress sending messages to tell them to socially distance for the sake of the pupils and possible school closure and yet totally ignored, no doubt the same adults not keeping to the rules about who they meet, who they invite in their houses etc = no problem because Boris trusts the people to do the right thing. It's not the pubs who are trying to keep people in employment and adhering to everything asked of them that are the problem, it is the ignorant public who don't believe the rules apply to them and will carry on until it bites their own arse. Boris has put his trust in the people, some can not be trusted to assist.8 points

Just arrived back home after spending 6 days in Munich, but travelling all over the Bavaria region. These are photos of a beautiful town called Fussen. Fussen is home to the Neuschwanstein Castle and is also famous for filming a number of scenes from the movie, “The Great Eacape”. Can you name the scenes out of these photos?7 points

Agree, this might come back to bite someone. A photo get posted on here with the idea of sharing it in a small group and is stamped as Thailand247. A rogue member post it elsewhere and any fall out comes back to bite the poster in the "real world", with a label on the source. If an individual wants to protect their own photos, nothing to stop them from copyrighting/adding their own watermark. Why add something that the original poster has chosen not to add?3 points

The vaccine won't eradicate Covid, at best it will be like the flu jab, yearly, will help stop you get it or if you do, not hit as hard. That's what i think anyway. And there will definitely be vaccines, too much money to be made for there not to be.3 points

Agree- have seen exactly the same at my local school. Boris pick policies on how they look, not if they make sense and he has no interest in whether they work or enforcing them. All the bookmakers (off track betting have been closed), the minutes from SAGE (his scientific advisors ) specifically stated that bookmakers with the measures they had put in place (like pubs), had negligible role in the transmission of COVID And still Mr " We will follow the science" closed them all the same- it's all about the optics. We've got the worst of both worlds. Regulations that will ruin the economy, that are ill though out/ unenforced where they should be and won't slow the spread.2 points

I would prefer no watermark , but either way the second is too big2 points

Water marks do very little to protect pics, in most cases you can simply crop the watermark out. For someone with @john lukeskills, he could probably still remove a watermark even if it was plastered across the middle of the picture. That aside, if you have one as large as the one being applied to my pics, then it spoils the picture to an extent that it's not worth bothering posting a nice pic in the first place.2 points

Gary who had the 69ers on soi 7 and amazon on buakhao walked away from the ridiculous rents still being demanded by landlords. Instead of throwing good money away, he's walked away and plans to open a new bar when this all blows over. Smart idea in my opinion.2 points

No idea what their bank balance is like, but as they've been at the bar business long enough, and they strike me as astute business people, I would be surprised if they haven't built up a tidy nest egg. As for the R Con bars. The landlord foolishly wanted to increase their rent after the lockdown ended and they decided to walk away from the two locations owned by the hotel. It's a great location for them, and us as customers, so I hope once it looks like the borders will be reopening to tourists they can negotiate a lease that is acceptable to all parties.2 points

There's a post on PT of a video at Wrath bar where the lady is drinking shots that are being bought for her on livestream while some dude is hanging on to her. After her second shot the guy grabs one of the remaining shots and drinks it off camera. You can then hear in the background him shouting a couple of times "it's fcking water". Pretty hilarious and you could tell the lady was none too pleased. No way to tell if the guy was BS'ing or not, but it's mugs game to buy drinks for ladies that are multiple time zones from you.2 points

Rashford? Good win for Manchester United but I've just seen 2 of the gayest penalties ever taken. One missed only to be re-taken and then scored.1 point

I prefer your version to the published result😉 Confident I'll bounce back, unlike last year actually watching a few games this season and forming an idea as to what's going on. But then again I could just be deluding myself....1 point

No we cannot. The theme's are dark or light and that deep blue is in the light theme and has swallowed up all the signs. I would suggest going back on "The few changes at the front end" and reverse them. If it ain't broke.......................?1 point

Same problem with Flickr links. Reported in this topic. Hopefully in due time the issue can be resolved as it's easier putting together photo essay posts using links rather than uploading photos to the board.1 point
