  1. Christ ona bike its just a different colour scheme. the old navy, dark blue and similar is swapped for a more trendy light glue, green etc. 🙂 on the new version you moaned that you couldnt read the top header line, and were correct. that colour was used to varying degrees throughout. I simply switched it to a colour that is easy to read with in a pc, tablet and phone if you check a dulux book, and send me the colour code you prefer, we can have a vote on it like married couples, then argue, i will go down the pub, you will go and stay with your mother, the kids will become delinquents, we will divorce as I wll be shagging the bar maid, we will split the proceeds of the house sale, I will move to thailand, .... 🙂

  4. Here's the actual video of the watergate incident. "Thank you so much for tequila darling." I've nothing against Bryan and his crew but how on earth can you try and justify this scam? received_628654557809338.mp4.8134a0bc50b82d5f5051df95f485611e.mp4.6734c29956ead9ad92bcea1303fa45e4.mp4

  5. I’m old, diabetic, overweight, extremely vulnerable due to many underlying medical problems and I’ve been in self imposed lockdown since before Christmas. Christ, I haven’t been to my local pub since mid December! With the exception of doctors and hospital visits, I’ve not been out socially, unless getting a car MOT’D counts as going out socially and we’ve not had friends over to mix socially. The wife does all the shopping and anything else that requires mixing with others. I can still walk in the countryside at the bottom of the garden, potter in my shed fixing stuff, read books and listen to music and imbibe in a decent bottle of Merlot. To be honest, I don’t mind it that much, as I find plenty of things to do about the place and I have my wife and son to fill my waking hours. People worry about lockdown and how it may affect their mental health, well, I’m still standing, mainly because I consider myself reasonably intelligent and I DON’T LET LOCKDOWN GET TO ME. Christ, it’s not that difficult to do.

  6. Over the last couple of months first my Kasikorn and then Bangkok Bank ATM card were getting rejected from some ATM machines with the message they could not read the chip. It was strange as the same machine that would reject one card would read the other bank's card. I just figured it was due to the typical Thai lack of maintenance on anything and that the ATM chip reader was getting flaky. Today I had occasion to stop in at a Bangkok Bank branch office for another banking matter, so while there mentioned the problem with the reading of my ATM card's chip. Without another word she took my card, pulled out of a drawer a big eraser and proceeded to clean the chip with the eraser. After the cleaning the card worked fine. I never really looked closely at the chip embedded in the card. I just figured the chip used RFID technology, which doesn't require physical contact with the chip to read its contents. Looking more closely now I can see there are obvious contact points the reader needs to touch in order to read the chip's contents. Over time they either get oxidized or gunked up, which an eraser can quickly clean off. Hope this helps others with the same problem.

  8. It's set by the default font that Invision includes with the forum software. As happens too often with developers, they can't leave well enough alone and insist on tinkering and "improving" things with every upgrade. Worst case is when the developer thinks they know what is best for the end user, without any end user feedback. For a bit of insight on the "I'm the developer and know what's best" mindset, have a look at the Invision Community topic on Why aren't posts numbered within a thread?. The Chief Software Architect decided post numbering was "just meaningless clutter". So rather than make it a configuration option, or include it under the new three dots "...", he made the decision to remove post numbering in the latest update. That guy must be a real joy to work with.

  10. Probably the wrong thread but after reading about all the bars doing the online streaming I went and had a quick look on Youtube to see what some sad people are raving about. This is Oh Bar, supposed to be full of stunners ? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u3dO_uUQOr0&ab_channel=PattayaOhBarOfficial[2ndChannel] I very very quickly went through it and came to the conclusion that watching a paint dry video would be more enjoyable and yet some sad shits are sending them cash. The world has gone mad.

  16. Covid19 accounted for only 1.7% of deaths in the UK during the month of September. It was 19th on the list of causes of death. How can anyone possibly begin to justify the current restrictions? https://amp.lbc.co.uk/hot-topics/coronavirus/covid-19-not-in-top-10-leading-causes-of-deaths-across-england-and-wales/?__twitter_impression=true

  19. I was actually shivering during my swim this morning, it wasn't especially cold but I think the sudden change in the weather has caused the usual cool, dry season lurgi to appear. The GF's 30km away, so I can't blame her for once, lol. Really, a couple of days ago we were getting heavy rain, and this afternoon the humidity in my garden was 35%, which is low by any standards. Now, where did I leave the Benylin and Strepsils...

  20. No he’s back at school, but they are running much reduced class sizes of 15 max in each class, all movement between classes is no longer via internal corridors, but is managed with outside exits and entrances into each classroom and all other extra curricular activities have been cancelled. No use of changing rooms before PE or games, so they go to school in their PE kits and wear them all day. All PE is now done outside, even if it’s raining. Plus all the other safety procedures that are being strictly enforced in the school. Perhaps not a complete “lockdown” I agree, but it’s the best we can do, given the circumstances. Bearing in mind, someone (the wife) has to do some shopping, the rest we get delivered. So all in all, I think we’re doing quite well, touch wood.🤪 Ps, we’ve still got a small supply of toilet rolls locked in the safe. 🤗

  24. They did it in Sweden. Now reversing course, you can't lock up the old people for months and months without creating mental problems, who than in turn will develop in health problems.

  26. I went to the food festival on beach road tonight..... About 95% of Thais were wearing masks And about 80% of farang were wearing masks. I am VERY disappointed... The more people that wear masks the longer the Covid nightmare will go on... I was thinking it might be over in 2023 but now I am thinking more like 2025......

  27. That was one of the biggest oddities with the new footpath; a couple of butt ugly rocks on a footpath and with lighting to boot. Think those lights lasted barely a week or two until someone used them for football practice.

  35. The simplest and least expensive solution, and what would probably be the most effective, would be to build raceways to the sea at the points prone to flooding. They could even turn them into water park amusement rides. Vendors could rent out inner tubes and funyaks at the top of the sois most prone to flooding and customers could ride them down the flooded sois to the sea. Another vendor at the end of the ride could then sell tickets for a decontamination shower.
