  2. Who knows , if this potential vaccine is as good as it`s made out to be we could be back in late summer next year, just depends on what kind of guarantees will be needed on entry, I guess it`s a wait and see game. And don't forget there are many clinical vaccine trials in their final stages, it certainly looks brighter than it did a couple of months back.

  5. My buddy on the far right, retired living in Maui now, 35 year veteran at Lockheed sent me this pic. We shared a condo back in Campbell from 1978-1981...those were the days! Laguna Seca Raceway in 1975, just a punk 18 year old back then. Showed it to wifey, she looks at me and says "You look kind of dirty and un-kept"

  6. There are loads of empty cruise liners moored in a bay a few miles from us at the moment. They’ve been there for most of the year. I think the most it’s been at one time was 9 huge liners! Can’t understand why anyone would go on a cruise with C19 still rife in the world, especially after what happened to those passengers who got stuck on several liners for months while passengers on board were dropping like flies.

  9. The long long list of hoops to jump through to get the tourist visa is jaw dropping....Which eliminates 99.999% of tourist.........Its called opening while remaining closed.....O I am sure there will be a few die hard Thailand lifers who are beyond desperate to come back who are happy to have the tourist visa option but for everyone else the tourist visa might as well not exist.... There are a number of countries like Mexico that have no entry requirements what-so-ever, none, zilch....And they seem to be doing just fine....

  16. Beach erosion update after the high northerly winds this week. Most of the beach looks fine with only moderate erosion on about 700m of the south end. They've given up on using the debris strainers. Sluice gate repairs look like they're holding ok for now.

  17. I drove into Pattaya last early evening from Bangsaray on route to visit Phil in Le Pub. Out of habit I parked in the Temple car park and counted the cars - 6 including mine. On returning two and a half hours later the total has risen to 10. I drove back to Bangsaray at 10.30 to find that the town had closed whilst I was away. The soi which has mostly bars and restaurants still had a number of venues open but I could not see one single customer. Expats do not seem to go out of a Tuesday! Or a Monday, apparently. Meeting up with friends on Thursday for an Indian buffet but not anticipating the need to book a table! Going to stay in Soi Bukhou for a couple of nights at the weekend and do a tour of (mostly) the "clubs" which I am assuming will be reasonably weekend busy as usual. They can get very naughty. We shall see.

  18. Well since I moved in to my place over 2 months ago I have paid the Royal Mail to redirect mail for myself, Porn and Kataleya. It has worked well and has reminded me that a couple of companies I hadn't thought about needed to know my new address. I believe now I have told everybody who needs to know my address and I doubt I will see any mail being redirected although I am paid up for 6 months. Of course the previous tenants didn't do such a good job at any redirection. When I moved in there was mail arriving regularly for them and not just mail but small parcels as well. I let the estate agent know who took the first batch of mail off me but told me I should just take them to the post office and get them returned to sender. Anyhow the tenant came around one day and asked for his mail, I told him that he needed to use the redirect service as I was receiving all their mail. That didn't really resonate with him as he believed I shouldn't get much more. I told him how cheap it was and he said he would sort it out. Then his girlfriend came the next day and asked me to text her if mail came around and she would pick it up, I told her she should use the redirect service but again this didn't seem to be important to her. Ok first time I got their mail I sent her a message and she said she would be around that evening to pick it up, of course she didn't turn up but did the day after when I was having an afternoon siesta which pissed me off. I gave her the mail to which she replied 'is that all' which didn't go down well with me. I then told her to sort it out for good as I was not a postal service and it was an inconvenience to me. I am still getting mail but you can guess where it is now going and I haven't been in touch by text etc. Why can't some people just do the right thing.

  22. I’m not a fan of his, but that turned a sure birdie/par into a triple......just not fair. His second shot was actually further left, but almost hit an official so no way they were going to I miss it. There’s pine straw on both sides, had he hit it further off line, they would have seen it right away. Rules are rules, search is Max 3 mins, and I’m sure many people are happy to see him lose shots, but Bryson has grown on me a bit. Now had it happened to Patrick Reed, that’s the only guy on Tour I would say “justice has been served”

  23. Yes many serial killers get away with too much for too long because of lazy cops. Dahmer should have been caught when that Lao boy escaped naked to the streets, instead the cops believed him when he said “it’s only a gay lovers’ quarrel”.....unreal. Then he killed many more in the same apartment the cops were right outside of

  25. Some good news https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11661/12131490/premier-league-discontinues-pay-per-view-model The Premier League has announced that all fixtures until at least the New Year period will be made available to fans to watch live in the UK. The announcement signals that the Premier League has decided to discontinue its initiative to make games available through a pay-per-view model. In a statement, the league confirmed: 'Working with our broadcast partners, and with the support of clubs, all matches will be shown via existing Sky Sports, BT Sport, Amazon and BBC services. Details of the first additional selections covering the period until the end of November are announced today. December and January selections will follow in due course alongside our usual UK live matches.
