  2. I do like some variety in my mongering and have taken many black and other ethnic women off the street in Pattaya and BKK both and have not had any problems, and haven't had any problems with the Thais that I have taken either but maybe I am just lucky; however, I do agree with Nightcrawler's advice about agreeing for price up front and if they are black or ethnic, they must have their passport with them for the hotel. Any new girl I take to my room always gets sent to the shower first so I can stash my valuables, I've done this since day one. Another good practice to follow is never take more than one freelancer at a time - it's hard enough to keep your eye on one, let alone two.

  4. The US government is involved somehow they're the ones that got it closed down. Someone on Facebook posted another couple of pages that said all the bank accounts they had seized here in Thailand and in the US. All to do with money laundering I can't believe that goes on here

  6. A few words of advice regarding Beach Road Freelancers... Not all that glisters is gold Remember, these girls work for themselves, or possibly even for a Pimp. Whilst cheaper than from a bar, there are a few things to be mindful of.. If you pick up a girl from the street, there are no guarantees that she is not on drugs, free from STDs or that she is legitimate, and remember that her main aim is to earn money Many hotels will ask for her ID card on arrival and may hold that ID card until she leaves However, many do not My advice is to ask to see her Thai ID card and take a photo of it using your mobile phone and check her age. When you arrive at your hotel or apartment, make sure that she takes her shower first and during that time, lock away money and any valuable in your room safe Never pay a girl in advance Also remember that if she is in her menstrual cycle, that she may not tell you and you could be faced with 500 baht plus for laundry bills by the hotel for removing blood stains Agree a price for her time at the outset There have been many reported cases of foreigners being druged or having money being stolen etc by freelancers That is NOT to say that these girls are all bad. But sometimes it is wise to ensure your own safety If something goes wrong and you do not have any details of their identity, it would be a nigh on possibility to identify her. I.e long black hair brown eyes which would apply to thousands of girls in Pattaya. Finally, make sure that she is not a he, unless you are into ladyboys of course and use of condoms up to you and up to her These girls are working freelance for money and you are looking for paid pleasure. Finally, it may be an idea to take her for a drink or too, just to get to know her a little before taking her to your place of accommodation Good luck, be sure to let us know how you get along when the time comes. Don't let your cock rule your head 🙂

  10. ^^^^^ In addition to the excellent advice above from @Nightcrawler - I'd add that it's a good idea to avoid the African and Eastern European women that have been known to hang around there in the past. The Pattaya Police did crack down and arrest 20 or so of them recently, but many hotels will make you sign a disclaimer as these women don't have ID's or work permits. Thus, if you think you're taking a risk with a Thai Beach road freelancer, you can multiply that risk by a few factors if you engage with a Non Thai.

  11. Yes, they were cheap but no other positives to say the least! I’d rather pay more or stay at home.

  12. Several early trips in a row, I flew EVA enhanced economy from Heathrow following the shuttle down from Edinburgh. I ceased using EVA after the flight from hell due to the passenger(s) sitting next to me. I booked the flight last minute when my daily check on prices disclosed a healthy discount. My only concern was my seat in the section had me in the front row of two seats with a facing wall however in my preferred window seat. At the time I liked window seats because I could usually sleep for at least 6 hours if undisturbed. When I boarded the aircraft, I found my fellow passenger sitting in my window seat with a portable "cot" for her BABY hanging on the wall facing US. I decided it was not worth pointing out to the mother that she was in fact sitting my seat. The baby started crying as the aircraft neared take off velocity at Heathrow and was still going strong when we landed in Bangkok. During the flight several passengers, always female, took turns to make sympathetic comments with the mother. Not surprisingly, none felt the need to make empathetic comments to me! I never flew EVA again to Thailand. I never visited Turkey after watching Midnight Express at the cinema. Both decisions about as logical as each other!

  14. Same like with COVID, Care home residents were at such high risk due to their age and fragile health. My sister Jan and Sally were kept in isolation back then as they were intensive care nurses and COVID would have decimated the ward. Only time I had contact with them was on the phone.would have to be tested daily before being taken to the hospital. Hope your mother is okay 👍

  16. Doubtful they're going after the tour group market. No buffet table. They have another, smaller restaurant on Pattaya Tai. FB page indicates they're specialty is Thai-Isaan food. https://www.facebook.com/zaabhigh/

  20. It's good when it runs, as in no delays or cancellations. I use it when travelling alone, train to Liverpool street, to Lizzy Line to Heathrow. But, i always check the live TFL updates to see how it's running before i leave, as it was dodgy as f**k a little while ago. If delays, then Piccadilly line. I'll hopefully be using it next month to Heathrow for Lapland. Though when going as a family, 3 of us, 3 full cases, it's a taxi to and from Heathrow every time.

  21. I always use Booking for my hotel, book early and you can get good prices. Need to book two rooms in Wembley for the Deacon Blue gig at the arena for Sally and me in October. Booking early and they are usually around 60 to 70 quid at the International or Ibis which are only a few minutes round the corner. Think I will do it now while it’s on my mind.

  22. Just booked my hotel. Prices still higher for late Jan/Feb and part of that is due to the weak pound against the Thai baht I used Booking com but only booked for 10 days as from past experience it will be a little cheaper paying hotel direct for an extension of stay. That's the plan anyway. Also gives me some leeway if I decide to travel or change hotels.

  24. I have to say the main reason for an acceptable experience in economy is usually related to who, if anybody, is sitting next to me. When I worked for the airline I traveled First Class, Business Class on most of my journeys, but since being a family man, I tend not to travel on my own and economy is my mode of transport. I have though had quite a few flights where 3 in the family makes for a great flight as we do not need to share the available space with an unwanted passenger. If traveling solo, the problem for me is really related to who will sit next to me in economy. While First and Business will see you with plenty of room and an enhanced in flight service, economy could produce a nightmare or, on occasions, a great experience. That economy experience is purely related to who is my nearest passenger. On most flights in economy the seat pitch is similar, the food is average to Ok and the entertainment is there if needed. It is just that person who arrives before they shut the doors, who could make or break the trip. The only awful flights I have had have been in economy, that was Air India, Pan Am and Qantas and all were related to passengers next to me or around me. Then again, I sat on 2 economy flights where the person next to me ended up in my bed after arrival. That was Western Airlines from San Francisco to Honolulu (an interior designer on her way to Maui, I was invited to follow) and Delta from Atlanta to Los Angeles (a showgirl on her way to Las Vegas). Funnily, I also get a buzz out of paying for economy because I was always used to traveling upfront for free. I am a good economy customer if my nearest fellow passengers are acceptable to my comfort and welfare.
