I've previously used Xe to send money from the UK to my BKK bank account & always got a rate around .35 less than on their website, which is the mid rate,so not bad. This time(yesterday - Wed 23rd) their website said 44.53 but when I went to send some money the rate I was going to get was 43.75. So I opened an account with Wise & got 44.26 with the money showing in my account today. So it's goodbye to Xe & wise to use Wise.6 points

Thanks Matt....yeah warm baths and hot/cold compresses for the last 2 days...seems to be better this morning thankfully and the color seems to be getting better. Of course, I could not resist poking some fun at her...told her she is lucky that she fell in that area on her hips and ass....that is where all the "junk in the trunk" is 😃 Poor thing, she is having a bad week, it is blistering hot here, took this pic at 6:10am this morning of the sunrise, gave some food to the Monk, then she went over to check on her fish....about 10 of them were "belly up" this morning.....not a good day so far.😂5 points

Used a few companies previously to send money but, since using Wise, I have been happy with their service. Always get an excellent rate and, for me, the transfer has been without incident. Yesterday, I ordered the Wise card, so I can load money as a back up should I need to withdraw local currency on my trip to the Philippines and Thailand in July/August. I noticed that you can preload a local currency, but I will probably only load the card in £s and get the local mid market rate. That way, if I don't use the card, I may transfer the £s back to my Nationwide bank account. I just see the card as another option for financial support when overseas.4 points

Just received my new driving licence as I will be 70 in July. Think I remember @galenkia mentioning that he had problems trying to get a new licence (I may be mistaken). I went online, filled in everything it asked of me, but when I put my passport number in, it told me that the passport number was invalid and I would have to contact DVLA direct. I ignored that and kept clicking 'Next', it seemed to allow me to proceed. Got to the end and submitted the details, it then advised me that my driving licence would be with me within a week. Today I got the new one. Odd but happy.3 points

Had an excellent service from wise for a few years now too. Always amazed at how fast the money lands from me transferring into my account. Most times it's under 10 seconds.3 points

On the Pattaya Hash House Harrier website we have scanned copies of three volumes of PH3 History Books covering the early years of the PH3. The books include a few advertisements of the early bars and hotels and bios of several of the founding PH3 hashers. https://www.pattayah3.com/PH3/PH3History.html3 points

lol.... Speaking of options..... I'm going to start buying some small gold amounts, and cash. They will be hidden in my GF's panties. Stronger than Fort Knox (in case you were to come looking).2 points

I just finished reading this book which is a fascinating look at the origins and development of advertising; I used to listen to this fellow's radio show on CBC some years ago and really enjoyed it and this book delivered that same feeling - the authors really know their stuff and present it in very entertaining fashion:2 points

Happy B'day YouTube. The first video ever uploaded to YouTube, titled "Me at the zoo," shows one of the site's co-founders standing in front of the elephants at the San Diego Zoo. The video was posted 20 years ago: April 23, 2005.2 points

Just booked Etihad Business for my Jan-Mar 26 trip ... £2,506 including my connecting flights , no overnight stays required ✅ BA and Qatar were both £500+ more expensive , even using Avios points ... and with the changes to the BA loyalty scheme , there's no reason to try and fly with One World airlines anymore1 point
