First night out on the bank lakeside this year. Feeling the cold a bit, but Damark thermal vests seem to work well for me. Day times are lovely, with sun and temperatures in the mid 20s, but it's dropped to single figures now and that's well chilli for me.5 points

It's Sunday and there's no peace for the wicked... The question is - skirting boards, door frames and doors, or leave them as they are?? There's only 8 doors and frames, and probably 80m of skirting boards but they'll all need sanding and undercoat before top coating, and.... I think I'm leaving them as they are!4 points

Hotter than fcuk here mate. Was up to 40 c (104 f) yesterday. Been like this for almost a week now. I even had a nice Thai lady lecturing me about being out in the heat a couple of days ago (I was soaking wet from a walk). I have to admit she was probably right even though I have a lot of experience in dealing with heat and knowing when to hydrate. I thanked her for reading me the riot act. It actually made me feel good that someone made the effort to consider my welfare. Although it did make me feel kind of like a old geezer.3 points

A few aquatic plants will supply the fish with the O2 they need. And as long as you feed the fish only as much as they can consume in five minutes, the water remains crystal clear. The sun shade netting I put up a couple of years ago really helps keep things cool underneath. Time to replace the netting as it's looking pretty ratty after years of exposure to UV.2 points

Adding a small aerator would fix that problem...If you see the fish gulping for air at the surface then you know that's the problem. If you installed a small filter that using charcoal and glass mesh it will keep the water clean. Not expensive and sold on Lazada/Shopee or any fish-pet store.2 points

Genius. Tell her that the fish take all of the oxygen out of the water until there is not enough to breath. Then they die. Also the poo they discharge slowly contaminates the water and they die If she keeps fish, she is responsible to make sure they have healthy water. That means regular water exchanges of a third to 50%. Otherwise the Yessongs is going to spank her ass! Caveat, the Boydeste is fairly pissed in a French bar.2 points

^^^ Straight up good post. Owning multiple properties would be a monster pain in the ass (even for those who are handy with maintenance type stuff). A shitload of things that can go wrong which is a huge cost factor over time reducing the return on the investment. And (as you mentioned) if the market goes sideways you can really end up with your tit in a wringer. Real estate, house flipping, whatever you want to call it works for some, but I would reckon a lot more people end up regreting it than making a good return. I think most would be better off just putting the dosh in T-bills and forgetting about it. I have a lot better things to do with my time than dealing with some fcukstick renting one of my properies. Like posting shit on a forum that maybe only a handful of people will read = lol.1 point

It’s why I don’t get the Air BNB thing. Why would you want strangers living in your home?.1 point

It could be quite some time before we get over to Thailand again as we've just taken over the lease of a pizzaria. Soon to become a Thai restaurant / takeaway. I must need my head looking at 😛1 point

On the Pattaya Hash House Harrier website we have scanned copies of three volumes of PH3 History Books covering the early years of the PH3. The books include a few advertisements of the early bars and hotels and bios of several of the founding PH3 hashers. https://www.pattayah3.com/PH3/PH3History.html1 point
