BINGO - Animal rights groups reacted to news of Easley’s death with calls to end the use of wild animals in performances. I can't begin to imagine what it must be like to be attacked/eaten alive by a big cat, the worst possible death imho, thats one of the reasons why i have the utmost respect for these magnificent animals, after all said and done they are only doing what comes natural to them.3 points

My history of Cannabis consumption is such that i would need to avoid ANY scuba diving resort where it was likely to be available 🤣 Hurgarda was a really upmarket resort and i really enjoyed it but bear in mind i'm talking about my experiences which were over 20 years ago lol, i hope it has'nt changed too much. SES/Hurgarda were both fantastic diving resorts, great places in all respects. I was surprised at the quality available at the cheapest price i have ever paid for diving/hotels etc. I think thats why the Red Sea is so popular with the diving community, when i compare the prices of diving in the Maldives, Carribean, and Africa its a no brainer.3 points

Lambeth at 0200 vs Sukhumvit at 0200. I know where I'd feel safer walking at that time.3 points

I have often thought similar, but there probably is more going on than what meets the eye!2 points

It crossed my mind for about a second lol. I'm not sure if any other BM's think the same , but I do occasionally wonder how some Bars which are a bit out of the way manage to cover their overheads, like some of the ones on the side Sois of Buakhao and over on 3rd road and beyond and even on the darkside. I mean there's only a finite amount of customers to go around these days.2 points

I've been helping a friend do a lot some work on his Chim (He's restored the the whole car apart from the chassis replacement which was in perfect condition luckily). The brake servo / Master cylinder replacement was as difficult as they say it was. Hell of a car though. Loud, aggressive, torquey , all the ingredients for the perfect 2 seater. He's on about selling it, but as I keep reminding him, there will never be another 2 seat convertible V8 sports car made by a UK company again, with such relatively simplistic formula of putting a powerful engine into a well designed chassis. It's everything that is right about a car in a modern society where everything about it is seen as being wrong.2 points

Pattaya’s Dragon a-GoGo Club will cast off the last vestiges of its Pin-Up Group origins next month with a major renovation that won’t require the Walking Street bar to close https://davetheravebangkok.com/dragon-a-gogo-renovation/2 points

I don't believe this is an accurate depiction - grizzly bear claws are much longer than black bear claws, and a "Kodiak Brown Bear" is really a grizzly bear that is overfed by high local concentrations of spawning salmon.2 points

Walked up there in May. Shadow of its former self. Predominantly empty or very quiet (but still staffed) Gay bars at the second road end, a couple of Hotels aimed at Indians, perhaps one small Thai restaurant / eaterie (open air 1 gas cooker plastic plates style) and a smattering of other businesses. Walking past the gay bars, I did wonder how they stay open, how many customers they get and how the business model is sustainable. Very little foot traffic at 5pm.2 points

You gave me a great idea John after having my tooth out. I had a tin of mince and onion in the cupboard, but it's too bland to eat on it's own. Heating it up I melted a strong cheddar cheese into it and made soldiers out of thick bread. Was real tasty and I managed to keep it away from the blood clot.2 points

I looked in there this evening. Many girls both inside and out. Inside was a band in the corner immediately in front of the entrance. Elsewhere, I didn't notice any customers, but, as I didn't stay, it is possible that there were one or two. The girls were sat around on the comfortable-looking sofas. I didn't notice any other form of seating. The lady who showed me in was anxious that I should go and sit with a lady who would "take care". I'm still not sure what kind of place this is. My best guess is a tame gents club with live music.2 points

Just home from having a big rear tooth extracted. I have been taking 2 types of antibiotics for the last couple of weeks to sort the infection ready for the removal. After the initial injections I was still in too much pain for her to get it out, she gave me a deeper injection and made me go wait whilst she sorted the next patient. Even then she had to give me some more nerve block to dull the pain enough for her to tackle it. In the end I told her to just get it out I would zone out the pain. Fortunately it eventually came out in 2 pieces as there was a crack through the middle of it. She showed me 5 empty vials of anesthetic and said normally she never has to use more than 3 to numb a tooth. I pointed out that it still hurt and maybe she needs to stock up on more next time. LOL. Home now still clamping down on the swab to stop the bleeding. My whole bottom jaw and half a tongue is numb, so I am expecting a rough 24 hours after it all thaws out.2 points

Maybe. Cataracts are formed by the proteins making up the natural crystalline lens clumping together into opaque lumps. The crystalline lens lives in the capsular bag. The first part of a cataract operation is to break up the natural lens with ultrasound. Phacoemulsification. The debris is then sucked out of the bag. The artificial lens is then inserted into the bag taking great care to seal the backside of the lens against the bag. However in some cases large epithelial cells can get under the lens and possible displace it. The invasion of the LECs. Sometimes called, incorrectly, "secondary cataracts." The treatment for this is to blast the LECs with a YAG laser. Floaters can also be destroyed by blasting them with the laser at this time.2 points

If you're feeling depressed, that could explain the lethargy. Or could be a B12 deficiency, which was the case with me last year.2 points

We used to have drainage problems at Loftus Road. And it was right on the edge of the pitch where the linesman runs so games would be postponed for safety reasons.1 point
