  1. Just ask away, any questions will be answered by the lads here.
  2. I remember it well. They also served very good cocktails in the Malibu Bar. My memory of the place is sitting , watching the show with my Scottish mate Ray (nickname Romeo - he was a male model! )drinking cocktails like a couple of "swells" as he put it. Brilliant days they were.
  3. ^^^^^ Good on you for making someone's day and good on them for being honest. Karma works both ways and has done so in this case. Don't give your good lady too much of a hard time, it can happen to all of us when tired and exhausted.Props to you as well for handling an extra 5+ hours to your journey. Sometimes life throws us a curveball and in your case, all has worked out very well for everyone , apart from the poor bugger having to drive!. It could have been so much worse, all things considered.
  4. We're a right bunch of reprobates on this forum.🤣🤣🤣 I didn't realise that Soi Post Office and Soi Yamato held so many filthy memories for us lot, and as yet we've to hear from @Derek Dangleberries and his exploits. @coxyhog I do remember David, but very vaguely. Good to hear he's still alive and kicking and doing well. Wonderful Bar is at the top of Soi Yamato iirc, Wonderful 2 the next Soi up. My friend in Pattaya worked there for years and was happy to do song or sam pooying with other girls in the bar, so she may or may not be familiar to some BM's LOL. @boydeste I think you're right on the money with the locations. I was in no fit state to give an accurate idea of where anywhere was at that time of night.
  5. Yep that's right. Didn't really spend too much time downstairs though...😇 Did I get the location right?. I'm pretty sure it was next door to the PO but tbh my memory is pretty vague of the area.
  6. 😂😂😂 Bloody hell Derek I was thinking the exact same thing!!. One observation that I made recently, well, more of a comparison actually is that in the past the eccentrics were harmless, they'd interact , be happy to chat and were just doing it because they were eccentric and enjoyed bringing happiness to others, like Glitterman. Nowadays maybe it's more of a poor mental health thing. I detected an air of hostility in Pattaya in general this trip, and while I didn't see anyone I'd class as eccentric, the place does have a pretty good track record for sending people mad.
  7. I thought Nice with Ice was upstairs just next door to the Post Office. FWIW Pumpstation is still there, or at least it was 2 weeks ago lol. My memory of Nice with Ice was sitting next to the FLB forum BM Gman while we were both getting blow jobs, and a bloke 2 seats up was reading the newspaper at the same time!. While we're in the area, I spent a couple of evenings in Wonderful bar at the top of the Soi this trip, as my friends cousin works there, as did she back in the day. That's a real blast from the past. I played a few darts and pool matches for them back in 95. At the time I was staying at the Britannia on Soi Yamato, (run by Mickey, the leeds fan and Skinny) next door to the Poteen Still run by Danny Maher (lovely bloke and his wife was also very nice - I also remember his daughter who was just a babe in arms at the time). As it happens Pleasuredome was short of players so I stood in for a couple of weeks. Can you remember the name of the GoGo on that street back then?, 1 unit size. about half way up with the centre stage and seating around it.
  8. This time, a week ago I was sitting in Crystal A GoGo on LK Metro buying lady drinks and generally making an idiot of myself, with one hand on the arse of one girl and one hand on the tit of another. At this moment in time at home, I'm drying off after showering twice and scrubbing my hands clean for the twentieth time because I had to fish a fucking dead rat out of a run off water channel on one of the cranes at work earlier on, and it fell apart as I was doing it (the dead rat, not the crane). I had gloves on, but they weren't decomposing rat proof. The smell was awful. what was even more awful was when bits of it burst all over my arms and leaked into my gloves. If anyone has a time machine they want to hire out...
  9. I totally agree, it's a logical evolution. It'll possibly be a pay per mile using the vehicle telemetry to bill the end user each month, all agreed in the T&C's when you purchase the vehicle or passed as road traffic law. Tampering will be a criminal offence of fraud, as you'll be evading tax. Possibly.
  10. We've all seen them, maybe even met or had a chat with them, but this trip I saw nada, zero, none. (I'm not including the sadder cases of those who've psychosis induced issues due to alcoholic abuse or drug abuse over an extended period of time - these people have hopefully received the care they need). Last year I saw a bloke in Trench Town wearing a kilt, along with fishnet stockings , the following night he was in a multicoloured katftan. Introduced himself as "Steve" and was a great laugh and very nice guy indeed, very articulate and intelligent. This trip though, no one at all. I saw some vloggers (cunts) noteably that "vlogging a dead horse" twat who almost managed to get himself a good hiding from a bloke in Time Bar on LKM, but it was quickly de escalated. I even missed bm @Nightcrawler sporting his safari suit , cravat and cigarette holder. I noticed the pace of things is much faster now. Treetown seems to be very transient in its customer base, guys sit, have a beer then move on. Very little "intimacy" as well - not in the literal sense of the word , but perhaps the open design of the entire place doesn't lend itself to that, the girls don't seem to want to go beyond the normal interrogation routine, it's like they get a drink and then the conversation stalls. Not wanting all BM's to munch on a nostalgia sandwich, but this trip there were a handful of bars where I was made to feel welcome, and numerous bars where I was made to feel like just another faceless farang.
  11. Safe fights @Binlid !
  12. Not that same Don known as LDK elsewhere I hope.
  13. apart from the obvious one, I ran into a few headaches this trip. To begin with, the ATM regardless of which bank kept spitting my card back at me. I called my provider who said there's no "failure" or "rejection" code attached to any cancelled transactions, but my card was being "read" (PIN input), then the option of withdrawal and fee attached, then it would return the card. Tried 5 ATM's different banks, so just gave up in the end. Speaking of Money, Indian guys in polyester T shirts and pot bellies arguing with the TT girl for a better rate. He was changing the equivalent of $50 in rupees. She eventually told him to leave after he and his buddies got aggressive. Crossing 2nd road is still not easy. Bolt MC taxis are still a bit sketchy, and if the Police see you on the back of a Bolt without a helmet, the rider gets fined. I was pulled on Beach Rd, but luckily my bolt rider must have had a connection because one call later we were back en route. Beer Hubb charge 10% service. Not really acceptable. Hemmingways still offers good food and A/C at reasonable prices. I had a mexican chilli burger and it was arguably the best burger I had all trip. Exceptional, good service and well organised. Soi boomerang doesn't really get going until 19:00. Could do with opening earlier. Heavens abive the best of the lot, Once open a varying selection of girls, reasonable drink prices but it gets quite busy from 8pm. Chaiyapoon has some great A/C bars on it, Buzzin lounge is good with nice girls, cold towel on entry, no hassle, High rollers is good, again cold towel but slightly pricey, The Den not good, warm Ac and a worn out pool table, but "Gin" a former Crystal GGG works there and is a lovely little package indeed. Dive Bar still very good, cold towel but some girls don't go with customers. Maggie Mays looking very tired but is busy and offers good priced cold beers. The manager is a bit gruff though. Other headaches include poor service at some Treetown beer bars, Basilisk 13 on the corner for example. Town Bar which sits on bukhao has changed format, removing comfy chairs and dispensing of the god awful singer. Staff not as good as before and seems to be set up more as an observation post for leo drinking expats than anything else. Building work on Soi Honey for some new bars opposite the friendly massage places restricted it a bit, but one was open when I left so only a temporary measure. Lastly, getting a normal Thai massage at aht VIP place near Hungy hippo, I'm offered a BJ on top of the massage for....1500 baht, or HJ for 1000. Now, HJ I can do myself, cheers, but 1500 for a BJ is a bit on the very steep side. I declined and it eventually came down to 1200, which I still declined anyway. Good massage though. 250 baht.

    Tattoo's

Nice thread bump. I happenstanced upon a girl I knew who worked in Papagayo years ago, when she was a blank canvas , so to speak. She was off duty but sported a full sleeve, breast tattoos and one on her leg. Although they looked to be very well done and professional, I thought it was a shame as she's got a natural beauty that doesn't need enhancing. I like tattoos on a girl, I mean swallows on the hands and ACAB on each knuckle is a bit beyond my taste, but in general I do find them attractive.
  15. I will ask him, I'll speak to him this afternoon 🙂 He's absolutely fine and dandy mate. I spent a chunk of my holiday at his house, we went around town a few evenings but mostly ended up in Hops on Yamato or Beer Hubb on Beach Road for some food and a few beers, or eating in the evening at his. People have mentioned or asked about his health issues, which have been exaggerated by the jungle drums and even some twat saying he'd died (which I got pretty angry about on PA and probably banned, but hey ho). He spent a couple of weeks in hospital during Covid with an unrelated condition, but since then he has been in fairly good health. He's relaunching the Devil's Den soon, and is seeking people to invest and inject some cash into it, I understand that all the info is on PA.
  16. Ahem... However I'd have much rather been on the business end of one of these:
  17. Bit of adjustment of punctuation needed in your post mate. I did it for yer.
  18. I spoke to Ricky a few times last week. He told me that April 2023 was his worst month for trade and ran a fairly sizeable loss , purely due to people not coming into the bar because of water throwing. This year he advocated keeping a section, or all of Soi Honey dry so the owners might be able to have it as a "dry Soi" and make some money. He arranged a meeting for all of them in his bar, and no one turned up. Not one bar owner bothered to get on board with the idea. I've not idea why, or is it has developed into anything, but people started throwing water on the 10th on 7 and 8 and one bar on Beach Road nearby. Come the 11th and it had spread to 7 , 8 and the Poppy bar at the bottom of 8 had the large plastic barrels ready, people were playing about a bit on Bukhao, and 2 farang guys walked down Soi 10 each with a big plastic water gun, but basically the MC taxi guys at the top gave them a look which was clear enough in its instruction and was heeded. I also spoke to Roger, the guy whose partner own "Kung's" on lengkee. Some places ran out of water on the 10th and 11th due to the twats on 7 and 8 using it all up. Not sure how true it is though as it was a second hand rumour.
  19. My latest trip (and apologies for not making the coffee meet up - I had a lot going on) started kind of well. my (comfortable and slept for a solid 9 hours) EVA flight arrived early, de planed and immigration was pretty clear. By way of some miracle my bags were among the first to come off (same happened on my return journey) and I was out, and into the Nams taxi by 16:30, so less than an hour after hitting the tarmac. I then LINE messaged my friend, (who had given the deposit for my room) immediately called me back. "got a problem with your room mate" "oh no, what's the score" "well, I went to the Hotel this morning to drop you off a few beers" (See, he's a good mate)" and they'd given your room away" "what the fucking hell are you on about?". "yeah, so I got an arse on and spoke to the manager, read him his horoscope and told him he's in breach of contract, so they've upgraded your room for the entire stay, oh and you've got breakfast thrown in as well". My mate managed to work a miracle, and it was a great start to a great trip. Upon arriving at the hotel the senor receptionist gave me a sheepish look and told me that my friend had been quite firm in his manner. For those of you who are wondering, it was Cerberus, the former owner of the Devils Den who sorted everything. In addition, I also got a free cocktail voucher. I was pretty tired, and believe it or not on my first night I fell asleep on the bed with a bag of crisps and a beer and woke up 10 hours later picking broken crisps out of my bumcrack. Fast forward a few days, and I was eating my breakfast when there was some commotion going on. The place (Page10 Soi 10) had only gone and caught fire. Worse still, my room was 3 floors above it. As panic was obviously starting to set in, they evacuated the hotel, however, as everyone was running out, I was running upstairs to grab my cash, cards, passport and phone charger (no idea why I grabbed the charger though), and despite the staff telling me otherwise, I was fucking having none of it. Last thing I needed was to be stranded with no money or cards and having to ponce drinks and sleep in abandoned bars. Luckily Pattaya's finest fire service managed to get their 48 year old fire tender to work and extinguish the fire. My room stunk of smoke, so I aired it all day, stayed at my friends for the night and returned the following day. By way of compensation we were given a cup of tea or coffee in the restaurant. I thought that was generous given the fact I could have been looking at losing all my clothes, my passport, airline tickets and the thick end of a few grand in readies. So, lesson learned and the moral of the story, if your hotel catches fire and you're lucky enough to be there at the time, grab everything and ignore any toxic smoke or instructions from the staff.
  20. Hi chaps SVB Departures An update to SVB as from my return journey yesterday via EVA. I left pattaya at 05:45 and got to SVB at 07:10, once my bag was wrapped, I headed to the EVA check in area. The airport seemed to be busier than usual , perhaps due to the holidays: If you look in the background, it was heaving with people. Gone are the horrific queues that EVA managed to create this time last year, as the check in process is now very easy and slick. The EVA check in area at time of writing was Section "R" I had not checked in online, and upon arriving did the following: I went to the small Self service desk and selected EVA air, then scanned my passport: After answering some standard worded questions, it printed out the required number of baggage labels and boarding pass. After attaching the labels, it was then just a matter of heading to the Bag drop: Each bag drop kiosk has a hand scanner, (sorry, no pics) you then scan your boarding pass and answer some questions, and it then asks how many bags you're dropping, and you then scan the first one, place it on the belt, and the machine prints a baggage receipt, then it asks again if you wish to drop another bag, so you then scan the second one and repeat. The machine then gives confirmation and your final baggage receipt, and that's it. All done. It is a very easy and slick system, and there are people on hand to help in case of any issues. It was then on to immigration (no queues at all) where I used the E- passport option, but realised I had an entry stamp but no exit one. I asked an immigration officer if it will be a problem, he said it wouldn't, but it might be an idea to keep any records like my boarding pass or ticket with me next time, just in case. There are lines available for manned kiosks where I guess they'll give you an exit stamp, but as I said, I didn't get one. I can't see this being an issue, but I've kept all my documents just in case they get the arse next time I visit. Overall, a massive improvement at SVB over last year. LHR: LHR had few queues, not busy at all. E-gates working this time, and my bags were the first off after the Biz class ones.
  21. I did mention in my earlier post that as tech gets better, costs for EV's will reduce, rang will increase along with general overall ownership costs for the lifespan of the vehicle. Seems that this years new models being released are leaps and bounds forward of those 3 or 4 years ago. Unlike the ICE industry where new models are just subtle design changes or improvements on old ones, we're seeing a wider range of vehicles for a wider range of budgets. This will continue along the current trend as EV's become more popular. My only reservation is that as Govts lose tax revenue on fuel, they will seek to obtain or redress that shortfall elsewhere. This also may mean that less demand for fuel for ICE vehicles translates into cheaper pump prices. (only my opinion). I'm still not a convert though. I prefer ICE vehicles, in the same way some gentlemen prefer blondes, or some guys like spicy food and others don't. I've driven EV's and find them souless, bland and unexciting apart from the acceleration that's delivered with seemingly clinical effort and precision. Maybe I'm a luddite lol. or or even
  22. Avoid it. 2 kinds of scratches that appear on even a new car. Paint scratches caused by objects damaging the paint (going through the laquer layer and into the physical paint itself) - needs repainting. Polishing scratches which appear if you look at the roof at an angle in sunlight and see lots of very close "fine lines" caused by minute particles being picked up in the polishing cloth or sponge or held in suspension in the water when washing the car which cause micro scratches, (best way to wash a car, 2 bucket method see google) To remove scratches in laquer you need to use a clay bar, then gradually decreasing abrasive levels of cutting compound and finally buff over with a wax, then seal it with ceramic or other coating. What this product will do is, (speculation here) appear to "fill" the fine scratches with oil or an oil based residue which , like when it rains and water does the same job, temporarily hide them.
  23. I saw this. EVA seem to attract some odd ones: https://onemileatatime.com/passenger-crew-wipe-butt/ and https://www.independent.co.uk/tv/news/heathrow-flights-passenger-fight-runway-b2422362.html Then there's this, but it's only speculative and possibly totally made up: Man known as "nightcrawler" found with 2 ladyboys in EVA Air toilet gloryhole scandal.
  24. Me too, I used to work my way through the gin menu occasionally. It used to be a brilliant place, I even managed to block the toilets there once.
