So here's the finished product. New hardwood floors. Some old beams that I had for the mantles. This was the start of the bedroom remodel.

Got it all framed, then installed a new gas double sided fireplace and then dura rock backing

So we framed around all 4 sides of this free standing monstrosity and tried my best to square plumb and level itm

I had to cut out the old metal firebox with an acetylene cutting torch and grinders then remove the 8 inch flu pipe. I was blown away by the shitty block work. As you can see from the photos the builder ( thats a joke) did the worst masonry job I've ever seen. I wanted to just tear it all down but the owner refused so I had him sign a release of responsibility form.

No photos.... but i had a couple more orange juices. Not really that exciting but theres also no hangovers involved.

Just left the Time Bar. Was there with Brian and coxyhog. Very pleasant evening. Im heading down to visit Phil for a few minutes. Mr Coxy... I can't tell you how nice it's been running amuck with you the past 4 to 5 days. You sir are a true gentleman and please tell that lovely wife of yours that Brian and I send our Best. At Devonshire this morning. Very pleased with meal and the restaurant. Will be going back.
