  1. I was kinda referring more along the lines of the character, not the actual actor portraying it. I'm throwing out between the lines stuff.
  2. Anybody, as long as it's a British male. Otherwise, it just ain't James Bond.
  3. Beneath the Tamarind Tree Makes me wonder if the extremists will ever stop.
  4. Have flown on one only once, back in 2013. Flying from Paris back to Dubai on Qatar Airways. The trip was Paris De-Gaulle to Doha, and then on to Dubai after layover. I guess they had to get the big bird back to Dubai and used it for just that short hop. There was less than 100 on board and we had pick of our seats in economy. I sat all the way in the back so I could see the whole plane. It was brand new.
  5. Back in the late 80's when I was in the Corps we did a CAX out at 29 Palms Base in California. Massive desert base there. It was a combined arms exercise and there was a US Navy F-18 squadron as part of the air support. When the CAX was over and while we were still in the boonies, the skipper of the Navy F-18 squadron put on a one plane show for us. We were told he was a former Blue Angel pilot. Quite impressive and as he did not have as many restrictions he made some amazing low passes. Screaming by and some really cool vertical climbs. So cool.
  6. I'm going to guess a pelican. Which specific subspecies I don't know. We have brown and white pelican here where I live. Quite common, but it doesn't quite look like a brown.
  7. This is an interesting thread. Lot's of cool photos. Got me looking through my collection of Thailand travel snaps. This is the allied POW cemetery in Kanchanaburi. I have been there a couple of times and make it a point to pay my respects to the young lads laid to rest there. Thank them for giving their all basically for all of us.
  8. Chatuchak weekend market. Thai sweet sausage if I remember right. Good stuff.
  9. Had dinner at Tequila Reef once, about 12 years ago I think. Ugh. I recall a restaurant in Chiang Mai where in the middle of dinner I saw a large rat, honestly the largest one I have ever seen casually walk across the dining area and disappear in the back. I have seen many rats in many cities in many countries and that sucker dwarfed them. lol
  10. Long time visitor to Thailand. Almost thirty years and many trips to many places there. Plane, train and automobile (and a ferry boat a few times). I love the expat lifestyle and love Thai ladies.
