Love this colour. Alfa Romeo 8c red or Rosso Competizione. £1500 option on my car when new although I wouldn't pay that. Luckily bought mine secondhand with it on already. Named after the Alfa 8c below. 🙂 -
Your right its an early Alpine. 🙂

Your yearly mileage...do you still enjoy driving?
davethailand replied to Butch's topic in On the road
Yeah, its ok as although we do the City we also cover all of Essex and a lot of Suffolk etc so its not always the same, spend a lot of time in the depot as well now as step up fleet technician, 🙂 -

Your favourite 3 Venues in Pattaya (from any time)

Blues Factory opened in Feb 2001 although I didn't go until Aug 2001, I remember next to JP the beer bar on the corner (later became Tiger Bar) had a band and it had been there for a while, only really remember because we used to sit in JP and watch. Later on the Hard Rock bar was on the opposite side of JP, come to think of it it may of been Hand Rock because I'm pretty sure that the real Hard Rock Cafes legal team wouldn't of stood for that lol. 🙂 -

Hard Rock Bar wasn't it or was that opposite? My mates (Hot Tuna Bars) sisters owns that. There was another one next to JP that had the bloke in the silver mask in the band (2001 etc) 🙂 -
Used to go quite often when I lived there as also on trips after, always nice and good value. 🙂

How are you coping with lockdown/Covid restriction Tiers?
davethailand replied to Nightcrawler's topic in General topics
No real change at all for me 😞 Still working 4 days a week, find myself do mainly pm shifts now, don't see the point of being off all afternoon when I can't go anywhere, also stops me from walking around Tesco's spending money on stuff I don't need through boredom. 😄 Probably hitting the scotch a bit too much on may days off though. 🙂 -
Punch and Judy. 🙂

I don't think I ever met Phil but have exchanged messages in the past, he seemed like a very nice Guy. Rip and condolences. 😞

Thai temples you visit at home.
davethailand replied to KhunDon's topic in Living in your home country
Never been to one in the UK neither has the wife. I've already told her if she wants to go with mates etc I don't mind but she's not too bothered. I personally don't want to go to one 🙂 -
I think he kept one also didn't he? 🙂

Obviously not mine but some favourites that I've driven. I used to drive Bentley's the same as this occasionally when I worked for an Arab family. The Porsche is a 959, My Dads Saudi client bought one and my Dad went over to Stuttgart to pick it up on a trailer with delivery mileage. A mate and I took it out around Bayswater in the early 90's, It didn't even have number plates fitted. The Z1 was owned by the same Guy and my Dad used to look after it at home. 🙂

I think my wifes happy enough, According to her she doesn't want to go back to Thailand to live. She's got a few mates, a job with other Thai's and her car etc if she wants to do her own thing. Food wise she gets hold of most stuff she wants but she's also quite good with eating western stuff. She's not massively religious so not into the temple scene etc which suits me as I wouldn't go with her anyway so theres no issues there. 🙂 She comments to me about our relationship being different from many of the Thai girls here that she knows, they seem to be together every minute of the day and the husbands gives them an allowance etc and they clean the house, cook the dinner and run around after the husband. Personally not into that but we have also lived together for 17 years now, 13 of those years in Pattaya so we've always both had our own freedom (not in that way lol). 🙂
