Anyway, I was on the phone with my partner as I recall, when suddenly a bird appeared in my field of vision. Nothing unusual about that given that I lived on the 15th floor of View Talay 1. However, this bird got bigger and bigger until, yep, it flew right into the condo. Clearly a racing pigeon from a club, and clearly exhausted and hungry, it hung out for about a week. We fed and watered it, and Lady R. gave it a name. I tried contacting the local pigeon racing club etc., emailed them pics of the leg tags, etc., no response. She nearly died actually. Was badly busted up. Spent a month in hospital in Bangkok (IIRC) until she was well enough to return to Denmark. Multiple surgeries while there and about 2 years of recovery. She's starting to get around a bit now. She was in Pattaya when I was there in February but more or less confined to quarters because she still isn't really walking well.
