Each temple has its own artistic interpretation of basically the same story and I genuinely find that interesting. Want to do the white temple somewhen but I am not keen on the crowds so I will be choosing the time carefully. I really don't think you have to be a believer in whatever religion to appreciate the places of worship. The general feeling of calm, serenity call it what you like, is undeniable in some places. Likewise if the architecture is appealing then I really don't care what version of the religion it represents. Apart from Muslim obviously.... 😋 We're gonna go in June, low season, and hopefully not as hot there as elsewhere in Thailand around that time. Yea, Sa explains different things about different temples to me when we visit. The seen one seen them all stuff, just isn't true, if you have an interest and enjoy finding out about them.
davethailand
Never been to one in the UK neither has the wife. I've already told her if she wants to go with mates etc I don't mind but she's not too bothered. I personally don't want to go to one 🙂
KhunDon
Latest pics taken last month of the temple at Hartridge, near Honiton, Devon. The whole place has a calming effect on me, especially a walk in the woods to the small lake. Most Sundays when we go, there’s probably no more than 15 people there, so not the numbers that you will find in the large UK temples and that’s how we like it.

I find them therapeutic and/or interesting. Though my wife thinks my main motivation for going in the UK is for all the great Thai food after the monks have ate. The timings just always coincide for some reason
