The price was 50 for a very very long time.....Then they raised the price to 60 for about 1 year....Then the price was 70 for about 2 months then the price was 80 for about 4 years now the price is 100...... After the price went to 70 I quit buying....... Is it time to pack up and go home? 100 baht for a little rice a little coconut milk and a small mango??? How about No No and No.... Well, the photo of the mango sticky rice was just pulled from the web... Their serving is smaller...... After the price went up to 80 it seemed to me that their main customers were Asian tourists...And if they keep buying @ 100 baht... I bet the price goes up again.. most likely to 120 or 130 in another year or two... The Tuesday-Friday market has it sometimes, and it's 50 baht....So I just buy it there.. It opened at 8pm, so I caught the end of the first 20 minute shift. That shift was 5 girls on stage, one topless, four in lacey, black bikini tops, and all 5 of them wearing skimpy tennis skirts with G-strings underneath. The next 20 minutes shift consisted of 9 girls, and the one after 8 girls. Both shifts were the same in that the girls were wearing skimpy pink bikinis. The lights were not as bad as I had feared they might be. There were occasions when I had to close my eyes and face the floor because they were bright and dazzling, but mostly they were under control. The music was the typical car alarm stuff. The place is very large, with a high ceiling. The stage is about 4 feet off the ground. It felt cold and clinical - reminded me a bit of the old Alcatraz place in WS in terms of atmosphere. Upon arrival, I was given a heavy plastic token with no explanation. The waitress took it from me, and it seems that I was entitled to a free beer (which I didn't want, so gave it to another customer who arrived later and didn't get one free). A huge amount has obviously been spent on this place, but it has to offer a lot more than I was aware of this evening if it is going to be success. Only invited guests were in the audience and they knew that they might appear on camera. So I guess they are paying about 4 baht for a mango.....And I think about 2 baht should cover the tiny bit of rice, coconut milk, and the container..
