Progress at the back of The Avenue continues, but I still can't fathom out what they are building!

I think we now know what the right hand place is going to be....

As many of you will have seen, there is a small, new mall in N. Pattaya at the junction of Pattaya Nua and Naklua Road, opposite Terminal 21, and next to Fairtex Plaza.

It is now almost complete, but, because of ongoing works, getting there on foot is a little awkward/hazardous.

There are entrances to the businesses on both main roads, and also at the back. If you walk around the back, take care: it is used also by motor vehicles, and I was very close to being run down by an electric car which had crept up on me!

Here are some pictures:

Don't get too excited about El Gaucho, unless you have deep pockets!

A few more units occupied in Ginplern Market behind Nirun.  They must have taken note from this forum that they would be oven like and most have now installed aircon.

As I was down at SOI six today I decided to go next door to see how the Big Wheel was progressing. Very impressive up close.

Sounds like you have a new business idea rent them out before a couple get on the ride

Lol, an Argentinian steakhouse that doesn't serve Argentinian beef!

A shame, because good Argentinian steak is some of the best in the world.

Almost half a century ago, when I was working (and living) in the northern Dutch Boondocks (plenty of Chin-Ind places and pizzerias, but no steakhouses), there was an Argentinian steakhouse in Amsterdam called Los Gauchos. We'd get down there for a weekend whenever we could and always eat in the steakhouse, which was very busy. I see it's still around, but seems to have rebranded itself simply as 'Gauchos' now in Amsterdam.

No privacy curtains, but the compartments have tinted windows.

Noticed this crane as I walked along Soi Yume and thought it was new.

And as I got closer realised it was the new Orthopedic Hospital taking shape.

From 8 months ago:

I did a bit of internet sleuthing to find the ferris wheel company based on the logo on the passenger compartment.

Found this.

That's from the Fabbri Group website (link). They're an Italian company.

I asked AI Bob how much the 55 M wheel was. Best guess, big money.
