Last time I shopped in there I can remember some sort of food in the lowest level. There were some great independent shops with designer gear in there. Got a wonderful Burberry jacket in there before it became a chav label.

In answer to a question they told me that the materials used on the aeroplanes were not always suitable for flying aeroplanes and very few of the exhibits were suitable to be flown. They also advised that most of the exhibits currently stored in hangers would be brought outside and displayed some time within the next couple of months. So a further visit is on the cards. john luke
Kirkstall Abbey is a ruined Cistercian monastery in Kirkstall, north-west of Leeds city centre in West Yorkshire, England. It is set in a public park on the north bank of the River Aire. It was founded c.1152. It was disestablished during the Dissolution of the Monasteries under Henry VIII. 1

john luke
It is scarecrow day here. Organised by a local charity who plant flowers in gardens and baskets in the centre. A competition was being run where competitors were given a list of locations of all the scarecrows and they had to walk round them all. £1 to enter and all proceeds for charity. There was also a competition for best scarecrow. Another attraction was birds of prey. For me it was some motivation to do some walking. 1
john luke
In Yorkshire Bettys Cafe is to tea and cakes as Harry Ramsdens is to Fish and Chips. The rest are taken in the centre of Harrogate. David Cameron has to earn a living somehow. I did not realise it when I took the shot but his biography has been published today. Giant rhubarb? And onto Knaresborough Castle and views of the river.

john luke
Leeds City Centre was brought to a standstill this afternoon for almost two hours. Major Incident? Terrorism? Serious Crime Scene? No, actually a broken down bus. Presumably the brakes had locked in the 'on' position.
