Thinkingallowed
This was absolutely delicious... Baby squid with a salty lime dressing. While my mate had these lovely pork spring rolls. Followed by the best noodle soup I've had in years. Really top quality ingredients. And my mate opted for the curry which was very nice but pretty much devoid of any heat. All washed down with this. Thinkingallowed
Was just going to have a walk to my local when a friend called and asked if I'd join him and his wife in Reading for lunch. I'm so glad I did. There isn't a single item here that's not top class. Roast suckling pig with duck fat roast potatoes. The accompanying veg, parsnips, carrots and cabbage, are all wonderful. Lovely building with a fire to keep the smokers happy. Pretty cool inside too. And a museum, what more could one want? It would appear that we are a little early for the museum.
Thinkingallowed
Oh no some girl has tempted me with the dessert card. Crème Caramel coming up plus a glass of Sauternes. Bill for all the above plus two glasses of very good French Chardonnay was £60.
