Yea .. I agree ... what the f**k it is about these days .. everyone slinging racist shit at each other ... can't other people just live their life with respect, dignity and integrity for one another ?

Makes me a little angry when the racist bullshit is thrown at another ...

"reader's definition: Work - accomplished by those employees who have not reached their level of incompetence."

He held until his death, utterly reprehensible views on HIV/AIDS. Such a massive character flaw cannot be ignored.

Yep. Very good player on one of the greatest teams ever. "The Big Red Machine"

Also a broadcasting icon. I always enjoyed him.

Joe Morgan was good for sure, at Candlestick Park back in 1976 one summer, I went very early to a game right?  Saw all the players taking batting practice etc. Out comes Pete Rose and Joe Morgan, Johnny Bench, Dave Concepcion etc. One woman by herself yells out to Pete Rose " Hey Pete, remember me? I sent you a letter, you never answered"??

He just shook his head.

It is one of those teams that over 40 years later you still remember every one of the players. Not many teams in our lifetime like that.

Robin Gibb, one of three brothers who made up the group the Bee Gees behind “Saturday Night Fever” and other now-iconic sounds from the 1970s, died on Sunday, according to a statement on his website.

He was 62.

Gibb “passed away today following his long battle with cancer and intestinal surgery,” said the statement, which was attributed to his family. He died in England at 10:47 a.m. (5:47 a.m. ET), according to a post on his official Twitter feed.

Indeed. Same with the Oakland A's of the era. 72 Series was a great one.

As a Chicago kid I think 71 or 72 was my first ever plane ride. Dad took us to Cinncinati for first Cub/Red Series at Riverfront. What a POS stadium it was.
