forcebwithu
Latest image from the James Webb Space Telescope. The image shows the galaxy cluster SMACS 0723 as it appeared 4.6 billion years ago. This slice of the vast universe covers a patch of sky approximately the size of a grain of sand held at arm’s length by someone on the ground. Really does make me wonder why I worry about some stuff. The scale of that is mind blowing, and it brings home how utterly insignificant we are in the whole scale of things, Universally. We're also looking at a 2d image, so that area of a grain of sand extends further still!
