I thought they had started using lights for tests nowadays? Wonder why this was different 🧐

You mean floodlights?.

They have to be designated day/night games and use a pink ball.

think it is going to pushin mud up hill, for the aussies.

pity our top order did not protect their wicket like Burns,he may play and miss, but he values his wicket above runs, and what about our quicks not bouncing Broad, some bloke on oz tv say this morning that a bouncer from a spinner would send Broad shitting in his boots after his injury from a bouncer.

oh!well I will sit up again tonight and hope for another 100+ from Smith

reckon aussies will need atleast a lead of 150 to 180 to win this test

Smith finally out for 142.Whatever people say about the sandpaper incident, the world was denied watching the talents of the best batsman in the world for a year. The man is just pure class in red ball cricket.

Best we can hope for is a draw as only two teams have ever chased down over 200 in the 4th innings at Edgbaston.Think the Aussies will try and get a quickish 60 runs to give a 300+ lead, declare, then have a bowl at us for an hour.Just need to keep our heads and try and bat out tomorrow as a win is just about impossible.

Don't get why the Aussies ain't declared.

Got a 368 lead, over 100 runs more than the biggest ever 4th innings run chase at Edgbaston.

Can England bat a whole day? 398 needed. Aussie win, or can we earn a draw??

Do England go in with a 50 over mentality, and aim to win by tea? Or do they try to defend? Can they defend their wickets bearing in mind the amount of limited over stuff they play?

Why has woakes only bowled 7 overs today?

Let's pray for rain....!!

We need to play for the draw, but Roy,Bairstow,Buttler and Ali will swing their bat like its a T20 and we will lose.

None of them have a test match mentality.

Tavare and Boycott mentality required.

I think we need rain for a draw otherwise we're looking at defeat. A big task ahead.

Whatever happens ( hoping for a draw) it's been a great test match . As for Smith well, he's a class act with the bat and probably the best test batsman in the world right now. An irritating twat to watch though as he's always fuckin fidgeting with his gear before taking stance .

Just hope the remaining tests have different wickets than the one at Birmingham. Ones more suited to our bowling .

oh ! And drop Moeen Ali ....he's shite at the moment.

5th day, this is what test cricket is all about,

do the poms play one day style and go for a win,

or go for a draw,

makes for a great day what ever way they go,i was stoked how the aussies went on day 4

I went to bed a hour after lunch, could not stay awake but had sleep for 3 hrs this arvo

go the aussies, think they will have it all over half way thru lunch and tea

If they go one day style we lose. We just bat test Style and assess where things are at tea time to see if the win is within reach, even that might not be enough. 4 more games to go so a draw is better than being 1 down.

I've just woken to wind and rain, and my first thought was that the weather has saved us.

Then I remembered I'm 140 miles away from the cricket....

Cummins averages just over 8 with the ball on the 5th day of a test so not looking good for us.
