Sorry to hear that, bloody horrible news. My sister-in-law suffered with breast cancer for four years, going into remission after chemo then six months later the b*stard would be back. I know what a sledgehammer blow that news is. Best of luck to you.

Never have had the pleasure to have met you, but please allow me echo what so many others have said in wishing you the best in your continued fight to beat cancer. I hope the encouraging posts and messages here, along with the love from your family, can give you strength and motivation to overcome this.

Were all cheering for you.

I've used the THC oil and i've had chemo and radiotherapy too the limits.

The doctor spoke about a new kind of treatment which can be used after the radiotherapy has left the body (6 months) of which i was told...

By all means do that!!!

M brother in law had stage 4 breast cancer and it had spread to his face and bones 4 years ago. He went for the immune treatment and after 4 years his last PET scan showed 0 Cancer cells and is as healthy as anybody that i know now.

Expensive as hell but it worked.

At least (I think) it will be free for Phil.
The NHS is one of the good things the taxes pay for.

Only if they list it as an approved treatment. I have no specific info on the UHS, but in Canada, a lot of the new expensive treatments are not covered to save costs.

So sorry to hear that Phil, but you’re no quitter, so hang in there mate.

Saw a program the other night on new Immune cancer trials in the UK , but can’t  remember which hospital it was, but they have had some great results in ridding some cancers for good from patients.

Hang in there pal, the wife and I send all the best to you and your family. 👌

  • 6 months later...

Here's the latest update from this morning.

Well I knew all along things haven't been that good with been admitted into hospital twice over the last few months.

I just had a feeling as things unfold over the last few months with my lower organs shutting down and the pain on my spine and internal organs.

Well today was the day of my meeting to find out what's going on, I knew the PET CT Scans was done within a few months of each other and so it would show any growth and yes after all the chemo and radiation the cancer in my adrenal gland still managed to grow 1cm and of which caused the pain to all the trauma to the lower organs.

I was told that I would need on going treatment again as the cancer is now in my lymph nodes and bone in my shoulder and so my treatment plan success rate is lower than 20% my cancer specialist putting my name forward to Christies in Manchester for some kind of new kind of treatment and it means i'll be hospitalised for the whole duration which could be up to 6 to 9 weeks.

I asked about the new kind of treatment and how about the success rate and she didn't say but she said we are ver limited here and I think it will offer you a better chance than 20%

This has really come home to me now and i'm now planning to get everything in order..

I'm ok with it and kind of guessed it

So sorry to hear this mate, but you are strong and with luck, you’ll beat this and I know you will remain positive for your wife and child.

Rooting for you Phil.
Good luck mate. 👍
