You’ll have fun, great environment, huge crowds and a sellout I’m sure. NCAA football is huge business, some games can have 100,000 fans and still command $500 for the cheapest seats- the title game in January is more expensive than a SuperBowl- to watch students 18-22 play! Count on a 3:45 day from the time play starts, it’s longer than an NFL game due to some clock rules I won’t bother mentioning.

My late father loved football, and felt so bad for the Penn State coach who died during an awful scandal a decade ago. Again I’ll just link it for you, was huge news here and had a huge effect on the school. I just did an aerial view, what a nice campus, so many facilities even a golf course. Kind of small town between Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. No joke, my cousin and I are going to catch a game one day, this might be the spot!

Oh and the stadium name kind of has a Pattaya ring to it!

I remember the first college game I went to. It was Alabama vs LSU, in Baton Rouge in the early 1970s. He had the station wagon loaded down with the family and he was driving through town and didn’t really know where the stadium was.  He rolled down his window and asked a motorcycle cop for directions.  The cop turned on his blue lights and said, “follow me.” I remember the police escort better than the game, which Bama won - Roll Tide.

Shit.  I wanted them to get snowed in.  My opponent in fantasy football this week as Josh Allen.  I have Nick Chubb.  I think Nick can do better in a slog than Allen.  Oh well.

Finally got my tickets for PSU v Michigan State on the 26th! As im in section EFU im guessing im some distance from the action, but who cares! Cant wait for this game!

I just looked at Stubhub. Those are great seats, far away but near midfield. Great vantage point, to see the whole game you don’t want to be too close or in any corner. Have fun…..

Just moved to Vegas 2 weeks ago and.....whaddya know......the Raiders have won consecutive road games, both in OT!

Coincidence?

Josh Jacobs was just unreal against the Seahawks and that OT TD run for 86 yards was a thing of beauty. Now 4-7, and next week is at home to the Chargers. Could the Silver and Black make it 3 in a row?

I should have moved down here before Labor Day!  😆

Henry Ruggs heard the receiver corps was so weak, that you were going to attend open tryouts next July, Eric. So he paid his lawyer double, bribed the judge, and then privately stated “whatever happens in my court case, please win some games and re-sign some players so that guy can stay at home”

Nothing like a good motivational speech

@Mr. Smooth Was a few hours ago, but what a 4TH quarter between the Ravens and Jaguars. JAX down 19-10, young Trevor leads them down the field, 19-17. Ravens don’t have the ball very long, boom FG….JAX up by 1. Lamar the escape artist then completes a 62 yard pass to Desean, then an easy TD PLUS 2. 27-20 at the 2:00 warning.

Trevor does it again,27-26,coach says F—k it no overtime today…..goes for 2. Quick out pass maybe 2 feet inside the goal line, good hands by the receiver…..28-27! Ballsy call! With 12 seconds left it’s over, right? Noooooo!

Short kickoff, big guy rumbles to the 39 or so. One mad scramble out of bounds to midfield. Tucker the best kicker ever, hits it dead straight from 67 yards, at sea level, would have been a new record….comes up a whisker short Unbelievable how good he is. Well done to both teams

I live in Arizona in a retirement golf community.  The percentage of people moved here from Minnesota is unreal.  So I am surrounded by Vikings fans who enjoy every Packers loss.

About 20 years ago while riding my Harley cross country, I stopped for the night at a small town in Wisconsin. Durand was only about an hour east of the Twin Cities and was a great small town, as it had 10 bars along the main street for a town of barely 2,000 people.

I was there on a mid-week night and wandered down, stopping in about 6 of them that were open that night. At one, I sat about midway between a group of 5-6 people at each end, as the bar was an oval shape and ordered a draft. I noticed the sports paraphernalia on the walls and when the bartender had a moment, I called him over with one question...."Is this a Packer bar or a Viking bar?"

He gave me a big grin, took a step back and loudly asked, "Hey guys.....this guy wants to know if this is a Packer bar or Viking bar? Which is it?"

And you would have thought by asking that question, I had just started WWIII!

For the next several minutes the yelling and screaming went back and forth, the name calling and insults, as the bartender gave me a serious glance before breaking out in a big smile.

Those passions run deep among the fans of both teams in the upper mid-west. That they still do in the Southwest shouldn't be a surprise.
