Galleria 12 Sukhumvit by Compass Hospitality

Recommended Posts

Just got a good deal on this hotel down Soi 12 off Sukhumvit in Bangkok.  It is a short distance to Sukhumvit and Asoke station (main reason for choosing the location).

Just wondering if anybody had stayed there, seems to get good reviews. I know they have a few others of similar name in Bangkok including one in Soi 10 (namely Galleria 10).

Just interested in any info on experiences during their stay.

I've stayed there before.

Hotel is nice, clean and new-ish.

Don't recall going for breakfast. They did have a good happy hour deal when we were there. Normal prices round the pool were silly.

It's actually quite a walk from the main Suk to the hotel. No worries if its dry, but shit if it rains.

They do have a shuttle service but only 1 car from memory so we usually walked.

The Korean plaza on Sukhumvit is excellent for food and there's cabbages n condoms as well.

Yes, got breakfast included and I noticed the walk but I need the exercise. Will be one night with Kataleya and one night on my own but will save my ladies drinking activities for Angeles City so don't need to be close to the action. A good restaurant will be welcome though so thanks for the info.

s 12 is ok, its the other side from the action and quiet.  enjoy

I wasn't too bothered about being near the action as I will be with ,my daughter for 1 night on arrival. Porn's family are also coming to Asoke from Nonthaburi (to pick up Kataleya) so didn't want to be too far from that station.

Yes very interesting place, last time I'm there was 2004, might try again as close by.

Not sure what my 4 year old daughter will make of the condoms they give you instead of sweeties at the end of the meal lol.

Not stayed in the hotel but its opposite my condo I have in bkk and a few pals have stayed in it and said it was nice.  I see the shuttle service from the hotel regular going up and down the Soi. Not much in the Soi if I'm honest apart from cabbages and condoms and a little coffee/food shop further down near the start of the Soi

As has been mentioned Korea town has a few decent places to eat but once you get out on sukhumvit and to Asoke BTS and the MRT you can get around anywhere you want so the area is handy that way.

Cheers for info

I have always stayed down the Sois away from the main road so the walk up will be fine, probably won't take the shuttle.  Quiet is good for me, I will be with my 4 year old for 1 night but might just invite her grandparents and aunt to join me in cabbages and condoms for a meal.

Yes it seems to have good reviews and the pictures of the rooms look really good.  The standard room photos didn't seem to show a window although I am sure it has one so I went for the next level up which for 2 nights will be fine.

I also chose it as it has an easy access to Sukhumvit going the right way for the tolls and the expressway to Swampy where I will be heading after check out on my way to Angeles (solo).
