Car Porn

Well we got a "Bike Porn" thread which i have to say is brill imo so why not have a car one as well. This British made TVR Tuscan was/is imo an absolute beauty, it was launched in 2000 with a list price of circa 40K GBP and to acquire an excellent condition one today will set you back in excess of 30K GBP. In its day it was a real head turner and the exhaust sound was far better than any stereo sound system you might want to hear, most owners chose the exhaust lol

I don't quite know why i did'nt get one when i retired and had all the time to play around/enjoy one, it was capable of 180mph if ya had the balls to do it. Like all TVR's it had a bad rep for reliability but to the fervent owners that was a price worth paying to own and drive such a beauty at a relatively affordable price. If i was living in the UK now i would get one as a last throw of the dice.

I have always been a simple man.

Cars I owned :

The rest I used were random average company cars, mostly pick ups, 4 x 4, station wagons.

Never been somebody who put money in cars. All my life, the only one I bought new was the Alfasud.

That VW Camper is an iconic vehicle and still is attracting very good money today. Not everyone is a petrol head TS but i am and always have been/will be, its a toss up between hot cars or hot women or ideally have them both is my thinking.

The VW combi is the one I miss most. Mainly for sentimental reasons. Spend many nice years hopping around in it with my first life.

Second one I miss is the Matra Rancho.

Besides those cars are just tools for me. Maybe because I was a mechanic, doing the stuff all day, so I was not gonna spend my time off doing the same thing.

I spotted this one in Soi Post Office, Pattaya, on Saturday. It is definitely not exotic, but it is quite interesting. I'll copy what Wikipedia says about it.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WiLL
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WiLL#WiLL_Vi

The WiLL brand was a marketing approach shared by a small group of Japanese companies who decided to offer products and services that focused on a younger demographic from August 1999 until July 2004 in Japan. The companies that participated were the Kao Corporation (a manufacturer of personal hygiene, household detergents, and cosmetics), Toyota, Asahi Breweries, Panasonic, Kinki Nippon Tourist Company, Ltd, Ezaki Glico Candy, and Kokuyo Co., Ltd. (an office furniture and stationery manufacturer). Toyota also engaged in a similar "youth oriented" approach in North America, with the Project Genesis program. This selective marketing experiment reflected a Japanese engineering philosophy called Kansei engineering, which was used by other Japanese companies. All products were listed online at "willshop.com".

Toyota offered three individually designed cars, based on the mechanicals of existing Toyota models. The series was intended to appeal to markets that were not covered by Toyota's mainstream range, and to discover how commercially feasible such unusual designs were. The American Scion range is based on a similar concept. All WiLL vehicles were only sold in Japan, and only at Toyota Vista Store locations. When the WiLL project ended in 2004, Toyota stopped producing WiLL-branded vehicles, and renamed the Toyota Vista dealerships to Toyota NETZ, that coincided with the launch of the North American introduction of Scion, using lessons learned from the WiLL project.

The WiLL Vi is a subcompact car, produced from 2000 to 2001, with distinctive styling combining elements of many cars. The WiLL Vi was designed by the then newly formed Virtual Venture Company, headed by Jim Shimizu. The unique-appearing rear window had earlier appeared on the Mazda Carol, the Ford Anglia (1959–1968), and the Citroen Ami. The "neo-retro" look represented a period in Japan where vehicles took on the styling of historic vehicles from the 1950s and 1960s, such as the Nissan Be-1, Nissan Figaro, Nissan Pao, the Toyota Origin, the Subaru Vivio Bistro, and the Mitsubishi Minica.

The car was equipped with MacPherson struts for the front wheels and a torsion beam axle for the rear wheels. The car was painted in a number of pastel colors, and the plastic wheel covers resemble sand dollars. One of the few options was a canvas sliding roof, and the vehicle was installed with bench seats for both front and rear passengers, with the gearshift installed on the dashboard.

Sales were disappointing, so the Vi was replaced by the WiLL Cypha.

To make love to a motor card
Is what I want to do
Porsche or a Ferrari
But anything will do
If I make love to Morris
Does that mean I’m gay
I smear myself in engine oil
And then I’m towed away
Can I cum in your car
Well to make love to a motor car
That’s what I want to do
Don’t care about the colour
Black green or blue
Don’t like road protestors
They wanna take my right
To make love to a motor car
Afternoon or night
Can I cum in your car
To make love to a motor car
Is all I want to do
To make love to a motor car
Is all I want to do

I watch "Counting Cars" here in Thailand and they get hold of some old iconic beefy American cars and completely refurb them adding all sorts of personalisation and paintwork, brilliant to see the finished article.

Cliff, when wifey and I went to Las Vegas summer 2017, I called Counting Cars as you know it is out of Las Vegas. They said they do not do tours or anything, the popularity of that show is off the hook on the History Channel still. Danny, Ryan and "Horny Mike" do some incredible work huh? Motorcycles too.   We watch it in Bangkok and here in Calif.  For my money,  I would have them make me one of these Camaros from the Reno show we went to in 2016.

Ever watch "Pawn Stars" from Las Vegas also on the History Channel? We did go in there, cool place and bought a few things.
