Horse racing/money laundering in the Europe

Recommended Posts

Perhaps a specialist post but have just read something that even as old school gambler cynic had me stunned. Have put this in Off Topic as well off LOS

Master Dino is a gelding, sold today at Deauville for 420,000 Euro now that  is circa $465,000

The missing bit is last time it run on 6th Jan 2019 he sustained a hairline fracture to a leg and has not has never been seen again since. He won this race but is was only worth 7,000 GDP or 9,000 USD

So a 5 year old horse with a dodgy leg, that obviously cannot breed is worth close to half a million$$$, and by the way it's a jumps horse. So recovering from a broken leg, it's career lies in jumping fences....

Unbelievable , lest I ever complain about the UK being corrupt

Well the money has been injected into the system, where it ends up who knows

Half a million USD for a promising show jumper with a busted leg

No the sale went down against an agent's name, not the ultimate buyer.

At that price i doubt it was sold to a butcher. Also race horses give poor meat. It is chewy and lacks its natural fat.

A proper horse fillet is quite deliscious.
