Riddle solved ..... :default_book: ...I know now why the Le in the sign is underlined and smaller ?????

It was supposed to say 'Not a Sports Bar' in italics but the signwriter spelt it wrong so a quick underline to save face.

We could have a Forum whip round to buy another sign to go underneath .... what says ye all..... . !!!

I'll throw in 50 Baht to get the ball rolling ....:default_061:

If the battery runs low at night, included with the sign is a hand crank that allows Mr. Egg to run out and manually recharge the battery. Should make for good photo ops for the WS tourists.

Put a little beer stand under it so people can pedal to recharge the sign's batteries.

Seems to be very popular now in Europe....

Had a coke zero, check bin (60b), left bar, turned right, walked to ws.
133 paces, or 129 according to my watch.
I know, sad!!
The sign is as conspicuous as the builders at the Avenue...
(The top one is  I think, angels)

What about some Thai writing in a corner to reduce the cost?  I thought that was the norm on signs in Pattaya.

It’s not to reduce cost, it’s a law that says all signs must be in Thai somewhere. You are correct, a sign with majority Thai writing pays less sign tax than a western language.
