Some of these posts are starting to come off the covid subject slightly ( polite hint at this stage)

Yea, you think so ....

The Wuhan virus has caused all types of social disorder .... from deaths to power hungry mayors and governors insulting and reducing the basic freedom of people .... resulting in people that cannot work, pay their bills , buy beer , go to the beach, not being able to purchase plant seed or paint in stores, copper citations and arrests for not following some arbitrary imposed " lock down" rule ... etc ...

I think you need to think again about your comment .....

Read this on Diabetes UK Forum today. What truth there is in it, if any, I’m not sure, but as I’m Type II, it was interesting to read.

https://www.diabetes.co.uk/news/Controlling-blood-sugar-levels-could-improve-COVID-19-health-outcomes.html

Bro .. take good care of yourself ... diabetes is dangerous ... I have written an entire software system at the hospitals here specifically related to diabetes the doctors use everyday for treatment and preventive measures ... I never knew anything before hand about this ... but, f**k me ...

Just take good care of yourself .....

This is a HUGE story that may have far reaching consequences to put a stop to the COVID fairy tail madness.....

The man behind the world's Covid-19 lockdown resigns

Neil Ferguson resigns after breaking lockdown rules

In a rather extraordinary story from the Telegraph, it was revealed that Professor Ferguson has been breaking his own social distancing guidelines by allowing his lover to visit him at his home since the lockdown began, prompting his apology and resignation.

He f***d up all our lives with this insane lockdown based on his insane modelling. But he still had time to do some ‘illegal’ f**king of his own.

Yea .. standard liberalism ... what is only good for me and my views and beliefs .... and f**k everything and everybody else .... and if you don't believe anything they say or do .. then you are viciously attacked and labeled a racist, xenophobe , etc ...

So what will happen to this guy .. probably nothing ....

It makes me smile the whole West blaming the "infamous" Wuhan P4 lab .....

One should look at bit at the history of the thing ?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wuhan_Institute_of_Virology

"In 2015, the WIV's National Bio-safety Laboratory was completed at a cost of 300 million yuan ($44 million) in collaboration with the French government's CIRI lab, and was the first biosafety level 4 (BSL–4) laboratory to be built in mainland China.[2][16] The establishment of the laboratory was partially funded by the U.S. government[12] and took over a decade to complete from its conception in 2003.[2]

The Laboratory has strong ties to the Galveston National Laboratory in the University of Texas.[3] It also had strong ties with Canada's National Microbiology Laboratory until WIV staff scientists Xiangguo Qiu and her husband Keding Cheng, who were also remunerated by the Canadian government, were escorted from the Canadian lab for undisclosed reasons in July 2019.[17]"

But of course no one in our governments was aware ..........

FFS... the sentence about the lift....   when you thought maximum stupidity was reached ....

"Social distancing will continue to guide our personal interactions, restaurants will leave every second table empty, open-plan offices are being divided up and only two, maybe three, will get into the elevator at a time, and each will be facing a different corner. Such is our new reality, and such are the changes coming to the world of work. "

The world will really become a great place to live....  But WTF has those ideas ? Or is it just about outdoing one another in stupidity creation ?

HEPA or high efficiency particulate air filters have similar performance to those used to keep the air clean in
hospital operating rooms and industrial clean rooms. These filters are very effective at trapping microscopic
particles as small as bacteria and viruses.

From what I've read the best place to get the virus is in a hospital.

Yes, but those are "normal" and "acceptable" deaths... Like heart attacks, strokes, diabetes, pneumonia, ......   Only the COVID19 is "not acceptable".

Well, till it becomes "normal" .....

An event not yet mentionned here....

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2019_Military_World_Games

There is some info that athletes have fallen sick during those Game or/and on returning to their home country.  But it seems that even with already some rumors appearing about a virus no army of the participating countries accepted to test their personal. And of course they all limited communications on the subject.

It is this event where China says "even the first virus case was indeed discovered in Wuhan, it could very well have been brought in by one of the participants.."  Meaning of course the US.  Personally I doubt it was the case, but that the games where one (among other) vector that helped spread the virus is possible.

Google is your friend for further research.

here in Sydney there has been 15deaths from Wuhan Virus,at one aged care place and the state has just left all the old buggers there instead of moving them to a hospital, where they would be looked after by experienced staff, not by age care staff, highly trained in aged care NOT infectious shit like we have now.

they have just left many that have the virus in the care home, not a great way to look after our older citizens me thinks.

grayray

There have been several care homes here in Scotland that have been overrun by this virus, and in every case no one infected has been removed to hospital. This seems to be the government policy here. The latest is in a care home on Skye where there are currently 57 suffering from the virus and to date 4 deaths there. Looks like they want it contained.

Is this the right policy ? Arguments for both sides I guess.

That newspaper had the story since the 8th April but only choose to publish yesterday to distract from the UKs new totals passing Italy

The former Chief Medical Officer of Scotland, Catherine Calderwood was on the telly every 10 minutes telling us all to stay at home as we were all in grave danger from this pandemic. Do not leave home unless essential blah blah blah then herself was caught travelling and staying at her second home on the coast and had to resign.

If these people really believed some of the pish they themselves are spouting, do you really think they would ignore it ?? Stop this crap now and let people get on with their lives - people out there have the information from their governments in regards of how to stay safe, let them them use common sense and be careful, but for the love of God stop these draconian measures.

Thanks @code_slayer_bkk I will. Normally my blood sugars are pretty good, however, Doc slightly upped my Slow release Metformin a few months ago and I was due for a blood test in late April to see what, if anything, has changed. Suppose I will have to wait for a while to get tested now, due to this shite that's going around.

I was in hospital back in 1980, before I was diagnosed as Type 2 and there was a Type 1 patient in the next bed. He was a professional chap and a nice guy, but he was an alcoholic and he didn't take his Insulin regularly and hadn't done for about 7 years.

One day he just keeled over next to his bed, dead as a Dodo. The docs said his heart just gave out and he was probably dead before he hit the floor.:default_dizzy:

Interesting comments on several topics from the Australian Minister of Health. He answers questions about convalescent plasma in the treatment of COVID-19 as well as Australia's contact-tracing app.  One excerpt:

"Just to confirm the case numbers which are provided every day - 6856 cases, 5964 recovered, very, very sadly, 97 lives lost.

"In terms of the other questions you’ve asked, the breakup of those, 4315 locally acquired- overseas acquired, 1782 locally acquired who had contact with a confirmed case, 576 locally acquired with a contact not identified - I think that’s the figure you were referring to - 109 locally acquired, contact not identified but case had interstate travel, and 74 under investigation."

This is old news and easily accessible online, in fact if you had added other information in the write up you could have mentioned that the US government were concerned about the safety standards at the lab back in 2015 and let the Chinese government know of their concerns.

The info has been written about in media elsewhere and not just in this forum but in itself it doesn't really say anything different and the accusations of where the virus started stay the same.

You like many here are speculating, I will just wait to see all the debate dealt with later when the culprits will be named and shamed.

Wrong.

I am not speculating anything. Just mentionning stuff accessible to everybody.

Just another part of the discussion.

Trying to direct people by offering snippets of info doesn't really help in the overall discussion. Once all the evidence is on the table then the blame game can begin.

Your comment..... 'It makes me smile the whole West blaming the "infamous" Wuhan P4 lab .....' seems to be trying to direct people away from the presently accepted overall view of the virus origin by only putting the bits you have highlighted in your post. I apologise if that was not your intention.

It is important info but doesn't change the view of where the origin of the virus took place so wondering why it made you smile......that's all.
