End of Days: Predictions and Prophecies about the End of the World, a 2008 book written by Sylvia Browne predicted global outbreak of coronavirus

Remember we told you about a novel that predicted the coronavirus outbreak 40 years ago? It was a thriller, The Eyes of Darkness, written by Dean Koontz. Looks like it is not the only piece of fiction that predicted the coronavirus outbreak.

A book titled End of Days: Predictions and Prophecies about the End of the World, written by Sylvia Browne, also predicted the global outbreak of coronavirus. The book was first published in 2008. A photo of an excerpt from the book is going viral across social media platforms and is spooky enough to reach for that box of tissues to wipe your sweat.

"In around 2020 a severe pneumonia-like illness will spread throughout the globe, attacking the lungs and bronchial tubes resisting all known treatments," the excerpt read.

Doesn't it sound very similar to this novel coronavirus and the disease, Covid-19? Be it the nature of the illness, the year mentioned or the part about the resistance to treatments - the similarity with coronavirus is uncanny.

The excerpt also mentioned that the illness will vanish soon after its arrival. "Almost more baffling than the illness itself will be the fact that it will suddenly vanish as quickly as it arrives, attack again ten years later and then disappear completely."

Netizens are absolutely stumped with the reference of coronavirus outbreak in the book. Check out some of the reactions here:

Two Authors Predicted The Coronavirus Outbreak Years Before It Arrived

Two novelists may have predicted the Covid-19 Coronavirus outbreak long before it took place. In 1981, author Dean Koontz wrote a thriller called The Eyes Of Darkness. In the book, he describes a killer virus named ‘Wuhan-400’ after the Chinese city it originated in — the same city where COVID-19 was first reported. While there are numerous differences between the virus that Koontz describes and the one current creating a global epidemic, the similarities that exist are uncanny. One of the big differences between the two is the virus that Koontz described was developed as a weapon and has a death rate of 100%. The Coronavirus only has a death rate of about 2 percent.

Another author, Sylvia Browne, who died seven years ago, wrote in 2008 a book that visualized almost exactly the current Coronavirus. The book was titled “The End Of Days Predictions and Prophecies About The End Of The World” and it described a virus that very much resembled pneumonia and would have an outbreak in the year 2020. The virus spread quickly across the globe and would affect people’s lungs and their ability to breathe. The virus would be impervious to all treatments known to modern medicine. It would baffle doctors. Browne envisioned that the disease would disappear as quickly as it arrived and would only resurface a decade later before disappearing forever.

Browne claimed to be a medium with psychic abilities.

If you write down a few thousand predictions the yes there is a good chance one may be close to something that happened.

I guess the fact the other prediction on the page didn't happen can just be swept under the carpet.

Bill Gates also predicted a viral epidemic in a Ted Talk back in 2015. It was titled  " The next outbreak.  We're not ready " and has had over 26 million views.

And I'm going to go out on a limb and state that there will be another outbreak sometime in the future.

I 've heard that Ted talk from Bill Gates and it is really good. He based his on science and modelling etc and basically a warning to humanity.

This Sylvia Browne stuff is bollocks.

However Nostradamus said: 'The Huwan dragon shall cross the seas and pestilence will follow in the lands of the Popes and the Franks. Plagues and breath will scour the faithful and the lands East of the Rhine will see tears and sorrows. In the East shall then rise the red sun of Xi the Ping dynasty will conquer all lands'. Nostradamus Quatrain 419.

Powerful stuff ......

But all total made up bollocks for the conspiracy fake news left and right merchants to circulate on the internet.

I would only be impressed if the author had also predicted her own death (Nov 2013), in the same book.

"If an Infinite number of monkeys type on an infinite number of keyboards, one will eventually write all the works of Shakespeare.'

I think internet forums, as an example, might disprove that theory.

I'm not so sure the world will turn a blind eye to these kind of threats from here on out.

Hindsight is an amazing thing.

of course they will  .... in a few years time once this is over , pandemic offices will be closed down as part of cost cutting or just shear stupidity.. most governments only look at short term solutions ... any difficult stuff or things that you can't see an immediate benefit get kicked down the road

As short sighted as this sounds.... You are probably right.
