Popular Post Sherlock
Thought I make the most of the hot weather (without knowing that today was going to be the hottest day of the year so far) and take myself down to the River Thames for a walk. Started in Brentford, over Kew bridge and down the towpath, through Richmond to stop of for a few beers at work, and then carried down to Teddington where I called it a day and took the bus home! Toy Boy
I lived in Teddington for six years and the walk from the lock to Richmond was a standard afternoon out on the weekends. It's a nice part of the world, especially given that it's surrounded on all sides by the big city, but I hated the daily commute into Waterloo, and then walk across the bridge to the Strand, with a passion. That was what made me pack my bags and leave in the end.
john1000
Great time visiting pubs along there in the eighties when I looked better than now😶 Used to chat up the Spanish Au pairs.
simon
Great pictures but I think we need some serious rain looking at some of those photos.

I was thinking it might be tidal. @Sherlock

Its a very mean high tide we suffer from on that part of the Thames in Richmond!

I used to use publc transport to get from Highgate Village to fish the tidal stretch of the Thames at Richmond. In those days great fishing and well worth the effort.
