Aqualung
Following on from khundons post... Very near to his photos. Wat Sothonwaramwan. Been a couple of times and although it doesn't compare to the white temple up north its still a beautiful building. You've got to give it to the Thais who design and build these places. Just beautiful but I still can't compare them to some of our UK cathedrals and churches. Cultural difference plus a few hundred years I suppose. Maybe that's why I enjoy ayutthaya more and I've promised myself on my next visit to go to Sukothai.
Jambo
When people asked me why I kept returning to Thailand I told them I was writing a thesis on Budhist Temples and investigating Thai cultural persuits. Most responded by telling me I was a lying (lucky) bastard. 🤣

Lovely views from this location. For views of all round Phuket and the islands it's stunning. 1

I'm not sure as the tw was eating when I asked! Lots of rumours about dodgy money etc. This explains it.

Yeah now that I remember, I wrote my name on a tile there and it's now supposedly somewhere on that statue.

Lirchenfeld
I have entered many temples between female legs. It would be unfair to pick one over the other.
coxyhog
I did the Bangkok temples tour on my first trip in 1981. What impressed me about this was not the building but the informality of the people inside. No worshipping or prayers just folk sitting having a chat.
