In bits here, and been expecting the call since Monday when he really was to all intenet and purpose, kept going by his strong heart but nothing else.  he achieved his goal, to go home and be with his wife and son and not in a hospice, but by then he had more than accepted it was time.

Phil was a very strong guy, he fought this like a stallion.  the first time he found out he called me just as he got the results, I was out at a restaurant and sat instead in the car park as we both expressed how we felt.  he went thru years of us all thinking it would be a few days, then coming back into the old lanza again, full on,l albeit weak.  those times became less and less tho this year.  but he was still calling and nattering until last month.  those in the Uk saw him in his last days and were an amazing comfort and strengtht o him.

fucking cancer is a c**t

Very sad news indeed.

He was still working away on producing a media box version of the forum until late last month as I had been pleased to agree to help test it for him. Then suddenly no more messages and I feared the worst.

He was always very helpful to me and a real nice guy.

RIP mate.

This is really sad news.

2020 has been an utterly shit year all round.

I hadn't met Phil, only via this board and a few PM's. Came across as a top bloke and the messages here show that.

He'll be in a better place now and pain free. God bless him and God bless his wife and son.

Just gutted, we all new this day was coming but it doesn`t make it any easier to handle. My thoughts now are with Puang and Thomas and hope she can find the strength to cope with their loss.

Phil was one of the nicest, kindest, thoughtful fellas you could hope to meet.

Brilliant pics Gazza, mate!

And it's how i want to remember Phil, smiling, happy, full of life.

There's nothing he couldn't have done, whether it be build a house or build an internet forum, he could turn his hand to anything.

Never met him, but was welcomed by him when I joined up with this board. Sad to hear of his passing, obviously well loved by so many here. I suppose it could be said that through his efforts in creating this board, with members chatting and posting from all over the planet, he literally brought the world together.

All in all, in addition to his loving family, not a bad legacy to leave behind.

RIP Sir.
