Thinkingallowed
This is going really well and there have been some very generous donations. Now I don't give a f**k how much you donate and I ain't telling anyone either. So I'm thinking that there's quite a lot of members here who could give a little but a worried that the £5 ( a fucking beer for God's sake) or £10 might be embarrassing. No. Your fivers and tenners are welcome. Many hands make light work! My apologies for being tardy with some replies and info. In my defence I'm try to organise a weekend in Budapest and beginning a trial at a new job on Tuesday after two months without work. But that isn't your problem and I will catch up with some of this stuff at the airport in the morning. *bangs cup on the side of the forum* Edited August 27, 2020 by Thinkingallowed

Nightcrawler
A big thanks to Thinking Allowed and Tommy Dee for facilitating and organising donations and to all those who have contributed and those who wish to. Great Community spirit and I hope we can raise a good amount to help out in what may be difficult times for Puang and Phil's funeral etc. We'll done 247. 4

However, it might have to be paid back depending on my mother's estate.

So many things that Puang needs to do after a loved one has passed away as many here may know. It has been a difficult time for Puang but Andy has stepped up, my wife has been a shoulder to cry on and I have assisted as well in looking through the paperwork to make life as easy as possible. Andy and I have been speaking every day and my wife has been constantly on the phone to Puang since Phil's passing. Please know that in the days before Phil passed away my wife had been staying with Puang to allow her to visit Phil in the hospice before he finally came home to be where he wanted to be, with his family. Both Andy and I visited Phil about a week before he passed away and that was a special time for all of us, his eyes were bright, his mind was alert but he was very weak but he wanted to ensure that Puang and Thomas were going to be OK. Tommy was updated regularly and everything was done to help as best as we could. Puang is strong and with Andy and my assistance together with my wife's support we believe everything is being done to protect Puang and Thomas. The support here and the financial assistance donated will go a long way in not only showing the love and friendship for a great guy but ensuring that his wife and son will be a little bit more comfortable going forward. Thanks guys. 18

Thanks guys. Great stuff mate. It can't be easy being bereaved in a foreign land, with different religious and cultural traditions to navigate. Not easy for a woman to lose the breadwinner either. I would recommend the charity of St. Vincent De Paul, they will give Puang financial, emotional and practical support. I have worked with them closely in the past, an incredible charity who will go over and above. They have a branch in Leeds. http://www.stvincentsorg.co.uk/ 2 7
thai-papa-jim
Havent see this mentioned here and apologies if it has. Two relatives in England have passed away in the past months (not Covid related). Their funerals held at a crematorium were live streamed by a company that operate the service on behalf of numerous crematoria. A few days before the service a user name and access code are sent to the organiser/ funeral arranger who then pass on details to relatives and friends. The site opens a few minutes before the service starts and allows anyone around the world to log on and watch. An excellent solution for those unable to physically attend. I dont know if anyone here, ThinkingAllowed, HorizonDave etc, are aware but maybe worth making enquiries. some members here may like to take part. 2
