Lake Ulswater (Cumbria/English Lake District)

Plan A was to visit Windermere and Bowness, however on arrival both were very congested so I took a decision to go a little further north towards Ulswater.  Some beautiful scenery and fewer visitors.

First few are Panoramic Shots.  Others normal photographs.  Fantastic weather too.  RAF also use the area for low flying exercises.  Poor quality photographs of planes overhead and I just had the standard lens (max focal length 70m) on.

Great pics John of an area I used to know really well as my cousin lived nearby. Some lovely hikes around there.

Was up there myself a few weeks back and walked "The Old Man Of Coniston" stunning views and we picked the perfect day (Sunny)

If it's sunny this weekend i'm half thinking of doing another peak.

Used to spend a bit of time there many many years ago. Was working in Kendal at the time.

It was a day trip.  Two and a half hour drive at the most from home.

Miss that area a lot. Just love it up there.

Trying to get my Swedish mate to come over to the UK to see for himself but his mother just passed away. 

Ah! Well, hopefully next spring or summer.
