Got a couple of those firesticks with IPTV in my condo in Bangkok, Brilliant for sport and all the football and you get loads of movies and Tv series on it as well. The guy I get mine from has a telegram group and every morning he puts up posts with every game that day or any sport taking place and what channel you will find it on. This is a screenshot of what he sent for some of the games tonight. They are good for all the PPV boxing and UFC as well.

...my understanding is that things like a “firestick” requires a paid fee/membership fee...is that correct.

I have been watching free sports on betting websites.

Is the firestick basically the same line as just buying say truevision, a different format - provinding the same type of service???

Can you provide more info on

“p torrents”.  what is the actual web address?

If I already have a media player/box, will the torrent/movie play once I transfer it to a portable hard drive?

thx

I think he meant IP Torrents. iptorrents.com

...do pre-loaded boxes already have the apps?

what do you actually get with a “pre-loaded box” and what does that do?  what is the benefit of these pre loaded features?  Is this free ? or I have to still pay a membership fee?

thx

Pre-loaded means that the box will already have a good number of apps already on it which will enable you (mostly) to view films and TV series without charge.

If you intend to buy one get them to load onto it the latest version of Kodi including an add/on such as "Tempest" which incorcorates an IPTV and thus your access to live TV all over the world. That will give you access to the UK's sports channels.

The apps do go out of date from time to time but some seem to stay for ever updating themselves automatically. Lanza was always kind enough to update the box for me and would never accept any payment so I used to thrust a bottle of red in his hand. Now I just call into Tukcom about every three months or so and pay the modest fee for an update.

Quite separately I decided a long time ago to incorporate HDPrime into the minix box and pay a monthly subscription of 390 baht. That absolutely guarantees me quality access to all the footy you could ever wish for and most other sports as well. We have very good and stable Internet connection in both Bangsaray and Mae Sot so my minix box travels with me.

You can see from this topic that there are various ways of accessing live TV, films and series. I use a combination which works for me.

Since I came to Thailand I have never ever been able to watch more live football/Golf/motorsport etc. The downside is that the clocks have just changed and it is now a 7 hour time difference from the UK. Today I read Arsenal's game against Villa has been put back 24 hours to Sunday 8th November with the kick off about 03:00 Monday morning in Thailand. Another setting my alarm job in the middle of the night! 🤣

Good for you D, unfortunately i don't appear to enjoy the same internet wifi stability as using my box to watch the footie can sometimes be a problem with buffering and freezing, also it just keeps repeating itself. I don't ever want to be f***** about when watching my beloved Saints so i maintain Truevisions, problem solved.

Can I have apps added to this box to watch -free movies & tv shows?

Yes, it may actually already have Kodi loaded as there is an icon on the box.

Yes.  I'm not up to speed but here's a link Phil put on the forum a while back with some suggestions.

There's a bit of a learning curve to doing it all but lots of advice or tutorials out there to take you through it.  Or pay somebody to do it for you.

I can get all the BBC channels on HDPrime except BBC Scotland. It shows the logo but does not open the channel which is annoying because that shows many of the Hearts fc games live. I have had to subscribe (maybe just one month) to Hearts FC own TV so I can watch the Hearts/Hibs cup semi final live tonight. 😀

The BBC I Player even recognises when one is using a VPN from outside the UK and blocks access after you have logged in once using the VPN.

In your VPN, Is there another UK Server, you could change to?, some VPN's have multiple cities in the UK, you can switch to..

However, some VPN's are blocked by BBC Iplayer, maybe find a VPN which is not on the BBC's hitlist..

Have a look here mate..

You need to use a VPN and appear to come from outside Australia.

PS. If you're downloading torrents you should probably be using a VPN anyway.

Yeah re VPN - I've looked but can't seem to find a suitable one, I want to try one for free and then I'd be prepared to pay for one.

these days, I usually watch English TV through my smart tv Internet browser.

This can be viewed also on a PC using any browser, such as Chrome ,Firefox etc etc..

This website is in Thailand, my interest in this site is the 'Live TV' it also has Movies and Netflix as an added bonus..

Pic quality is very good, as for reliability about 70%....

In the Live TV, section, there are Sports from True, Sky Sports and BT.

Also, there are Docs,News as well ,see attached photos

Thanks for that tip.

Got myself a box with KODI pre-installed, downloaded the Tempest add-on and it works like a charm for most channels.

Could some channels eg ESPN require to have a VPN on with a local server like US in this example?

I have never come across that as a "requirement" but sometimes a recommendation.

Others have tried to convince me this is the way to go when wanting to see TV from around the world. I have seen boxes all over the place all difference prices and IPTV service as well at all different price levels depending on what you want to see. My question is why do i need a box ? Or why does any one for that matter?

I have been downloading torrents for years using P Torrents. I have always been a donor to their site as it has served me well. about 6 months ago when i went into their web site i saw a Ad for their IPTV service. No box needed ll seen thru the free VLC media player that can be downloaded on line. The torrent site is free but you have to be a donor to get the IPTV service. They walk you thru the process to get started and it is very very easy. I donate 10 US a month or about 300 Baht and get this service. I have seen some services that need a box cheaper and some costing more. It is very good for me I am running  PCs all connected to a 55 in Big screen TV as well as a 32in TV which i use as my Monitor. So the TV signal can be broadcast thru either or both. In Thailand no VPN needed and I do not have fiber connection but the old ADSL 50 download 20 upload from True. This service offers you channels in SD HD or UHD so slower PC connections using SD have no issues. I experience very very little problem with Buffering or freezeing when i do i simply click off and back in no problem. I have had this service for about 6 months. Running the 2 TVs I am ale to see 2 different channels same time. Yesterday I watched The Sunday night football game on one and the Baseball World Series sample video below. All PPV broadcasts thousands of Movies Thousands of Porn movies.

I have seen guys posting on Facebook about having their boxes updated well thats a problem i never will face. Here is a list of the channels that can be had.

after you select the channel group you want you see this

8.png9.png

Then click the upload button and the file with all the channels is uploaded to your PC and can be viewed thru VLC media player and will look like this

10.png

Then just click on the station in the group you want to watch. I was teasing Striderman who is a Newcastle fan that I was watching in Ultra HD and he could not see it.

Here is a video of the games yesterday he picture looks distorted but thats due the the editing I needed to do here to post it

So can anyone tell me why I would ever need a Android box ?

Geez   this looks like great info.

I may try something like this at some point. But.... I am a true tech anxiety case at times. I have limited stress capacity when dealing with some of this stuff. So I have to manage the amount of time I have when dealing with anything tech related - or t.v.'s, phones, computers would be flying out the window.

Recently I got my first "smart" t.v. At first I hated it, but not I am digging it. At the present time I am very content with just Youtube, but I can see that soon I will need to be expanding my options.
