😵

Death rate of motobike accidents in Samui is 3 times higher per capita than in the rest of Thailand. Everyday there are 1-2 people dying on a bike in Samui.

I lived there for 5 years and have seen a lot.

Perhaps I should have used a disclaimer "if you don't drive like an idiot,..."

You've got to learn to respect the rules of the road especially in Thailand.

I've have friends in Samui at the moment, really enjoying themselves.

My mate wants me to take him there in August, I would be happy to oblige.  Last stayed there in December 2018 on my honeymoon. Crystal Bay Yacht Club then but probably stay in Lamai at a cheaper hotel next trip especially if it is just me and my mate as bikes are so cheap for getting around.

Living here at the moment in Bangrak, it is either pissing down (as it is now) or hot as a scorched mofo... it is quiet, not as lively as it should / used to be, but a few places open around Chaweng and around Maenam...

Driving here right now is interesting, be prepared to get soaked.
