Butch
From "simple flying" website, the court date which was deferred in May is now on the 15th June. It will be interesting to see what happens s a result of this, as from what I understand Thai might well go to the wall. Source: https://simpleflying.com/thai-rehab-objection/ This follows from Thai's intention to downsize their fleet: https://simpleflying.com/thai-airways-mulls-a380-sale/ It will be a very sad event if a Flag carrier such as Thai end up folding. No doubt their Europe-BKK routes are profitable, but I did wonder when back in the day they would use a 747-400 for Bkk-Phuket!. Keeping within the forum rules, it is a fairly well established fact why Thai is facing difficulties, which was happening pre Covid, probably part of the reason that even the liquidators didn't even want to touch them with a barge pole. Krapow
Would be bad news for everyone, as obviously less competition, higher prices from other direct carriers, EVA, BA ... Don't think it will fold though, huge loss of face.
Freee!!
THAI won't be allowed to fold, just like Alitalia.
