Food distribution is shown on the Food for thought thread

I can't seem to find that thread so I guess I am not at the required level yet (No problem with that either)

I'd just like to say something about the queues at Bali Hi if I may.

One of my neighbours goes there to "sit in line" but he collects 4 sets of rations. For him, his wife and their 2 grandchildren. I am damn sure other heads of families do the same so when you see hundreds queueing, there are many more hungry at home waiting for handouts.

I have moved this thread into the general section of the forum.  Unfortunately it has had to be edited significantly due to some comments breaching forum rules.

Disallowed Subjects

  1. Royal Families – Thai and others; this is to comply with Thai law.

  2. Thailand Government and Police Services.  Posts showing disrespect or a negative sentiment towards the Thai Authorities and Institutions are specifically prohibited.

If I have "crossed the line" with that post, I have no problems you deleting it.

JL was referring to posts in the topic he just moved to General Topics. That's the topic you previously couldn't see because it was in VIP.

I had the pleasure of meeting Steve Striderman this morning.  One of the topics of conversation was that after a whilse one has seen just about everything and nothing is new.  Whilst I know there has been reference to this development in other posts on the forum, this was the first time I had visited.

An early morning visit to Naklua.  Very little tourist type outlets so not hit as badly as other parts of Pattaya.  I did not go into the sea food market but the car park shot show a noticeable lack of cars.  The antique shop on Naklua Road showing the wooden statues is a place I have often passed on the baht but but this morning is the frst time I have actually walked from the condo to Naklua.

A few from this morning.  The three wheeler with the flat tyre was in situ there on 30th April 2019 and does not appear to have moved.

When I lived on Koh Lanta the local guys would go out at night on paddle boards with a flashlight to catch pla meuk.

My "Mrs." at the time would bring some home in the morning for breakfast. 🙂

You never questioned where she spent the night? :default_biggrin:

A few general shots around Naklua.  The main reason for the visit this morning was to photograph some of the sea birds.  I took a 150 - 600 Tamaron lens which is probably not of the best quality.  Perhaps I should do a go fund me page to buy a better 600 mm lens.

To my eternal shame there was very little walking during this morning's walk.  I took that baht bus to the sea food market and then walked to the bridge, a little forther into Naklua.  During previous visits I had never noticed these large sea birds.
