Popular Post john luke Posted July 13, 2021 Popular Post Posted July 13, 2021 In photography and videography, HDR or high-dynamic-range imaging is the set of techniques used to reproduce a greater range of luminosity than that which is possible with standard photographic techniques. They can be created by merging two or more photographs with different exposures being combined in an editing programe, however most modern cameras and smartphones, with a change of settings will undertake the process, usually at the click of a button. Results can vary from spectacular to awful. Please add yours to this thread. 6 2 1

Jambo Posted July 13, 2021 Posted July 13, 2021 I have nothing to add as when I switched on HDR and took some photos I could not see any difference. Or at least they were no better than my usual efforts. 1
Horizondave Posted July 13, 2021 Posted July 13, 2021 Can't add any as way above my paygrade. Nice photos though. Yours truly Dumb camera operator of Neath.
nampla69 Posted July 13, 2021 Posted July 13, 2021 Nice ... I have a Samsung S21 but not a clue how to turn on HDR or what it means. I sort of point and click and was dab hand with Kodak Instamatic Polaroids back in the day ...... 1

Scroll down to "Auto HDR" - toggle it on. That's it. 1

Golfingboy Posted July 13, 2021 Posted July 13, 2021 (edited) I’m happy enough with whatever pics my IPHONE takes for me……bought a Nikon D60 for my 8 month trip in 2009, pressed one wrong button and the pics came out worse than my $80 digital Hewlett-Packard . Ended up selling it to Wombat for 3/4 of what I paid……don’t have the patience to learn all that, I’m not a photographer Edited July 13, 2021 by Golfingboy 1
lazarus Posted July 13, 2021 Posted July 13, 2021 Bangkok... 2018 a few HDR shots from my older Samsung S7 Edge... 5
