New Backpack for next Thailand Trip

Sea-Hawks

Recommended Posts

So, ordered a new backpack for my next Thailand trip.  I ordered my new backpack assuming I would be receiving my backpack before the Thailand October opening for tourists...which now seems in jeopardy.

A GPS tracker so if I lose my pack, I can locate it. Also has a notification feature linked to my phone, so if I get too far away from my pack, it will let me know

Nice, but how much baggage can you pack into it?

About 8L. Not the biggest or smallest backpack.  You won’t be able to fit everything in it, but more spacious than a simple daypack

Will those straps bear the weight of a bar fined go go dancer holding on to your back for dear life in the Phuket sandbox ???

$550🤯🤯

Carry a small cheap backpack around with me daytime, often after a few sun downers it ends up being christened in beer. I'd be terrified to take it out at that price.

Yup, a bit up there in price, chalk it up as a splurged item

Looks like you're giving up about 1/5 of the available space to all the electronic gizmos.

The best backpack I ever had was for free!

A bergan from Bergan! It was a specially designed Telenor pack for their field engineers. Loads of sealable outside pockets, a smaller detachable pack, excellent lower back support, light and durable through the harsh Norwegian winters up north. You could have carried beer in it then pissed on it afterwards with no effect! (If it was Budweiser you wouldn't tell the difference)

And I gave it back .........Probably one of the worst decisions I ever made! 😭

I still have my 2 free work backpacks that are amazing.  Lots of pockets & storage areas.  Dedicated compartments, can fit up to 2 laptops, extra reinforced zippers and mesh, waterproof but breathable and soft cushion padding.  Plan on still using for longer/bigger hauls.  This latest one is for fun with lots of added features for tech guys

Yes mate,

The one I was referring to would be 3 decades old now. What you have purchased I would expect to be in most work backpacks in the near future (if not already!)
