Popular Post Sherlock Posted September 30, 2021 Popular Post Posted September 30, 2021 Visited here a couple of days ago. Always wanted to pop by and check it out. RAF Tangmere museum is located just south of Chichester in the south coast. featured heavily surinf the Battle of Britain and the D-Day invasion of France. Most of the former site has been dug up and built in but they have managed to create a museum on the corner of the former runway 9 3 1 1
Lemondropkid Posted September 30, 2021 Posted September 30, 2021 Brilliant pictures- looks a little gem of museum. Have been on-course at Goodwood when it's been called off and not known what to do with myself. Never again!!! 1

Jambo Posted October 1, 2021 Posted October 1, 2021 (edited) Me too! I used to live not far from the RAF museum at Hendon and really enjoyed my visits. I am embarrassed to say my aeroplane recognition abilities is sadly lacking. Edited October 1, 2021 by Jambo 1
Butch Posted October 1, 2021 Posted October 1, 2021 Awesome set of pics. The Wessex in the first pic is bigger than I thought, the car nearby giving a good idea of scale. Really enjoyed looking at them, thanks for posting 🙂 1
Derek Dangleberries Posted October 2, 2021 Posted October 2, 2021 That Wessex appears to be looking really dejected, poor thing. I bet it has been to places and done things that would scare the pants off most people and now there it sits unwanted. I bet it could tell a tale or two after a few pints. 1
