Well worth a visit. An overcast day is best tho they do have umbrellas you can use. Met some of my girls Filipina GF there who all enjoyed it. Great spot for selfies..... One girl took 142 photos, tho not as good as yours John. Thanks

Whilst I have covered the Made in Thailand Beer Bar Complex previously, as I was passing today I saw a significant amount of demolition work taking place.  The roofs were being taken down and metal supports were also being dismantled and removed.

It is well worth a visit, but there is dual pricing unless they raised admittance for Thai to THB 300. Several years ago I visited there with my Vietnamese fiancée (current wife) and I paid something like THB 450 as they assumed she was Thai. After we were in, some supervisor came after us and asked whether my fiancée was Thai and we admitted she wasn't. She told us we would have to pay extra as she wasn't Thai and I told her they should have asked at the entrance. She got quite upset and I told her to either get the police or take a hike. Never saw the police.

When I set off for this morning's walk, I had no plan, aims or objectives.  So here goes.

0B0A2112.jpg

The crash helmet has been in situ here for around a week.

0B0A2113.jpg

Harry's Bakery - I try to support local business.  Excellent bread and Danish pastry.

0B0A2115.jpg

The Loma Market has suffered; from a busy night market and quite busy daytime market there are now about four stalls operating.

0B0A2117.jpg

La Baguette - Old established and certainly does not appear to be suffering.

Some time ago, Social Media was referring to a ban on passenger in the back of pick ups.

The new car park at Terminal 21 is progressing.

Hotel quiet.  Often some nice looking cars outside.

At the virtual 'coffee and cap' club meeting yesterday the topic of open bars present a lower risk of Covid 19 transmission than enclosed bars; it seems unlikely that too many open bars will remain open.

Korean Square - plenty of cars visiting here last night.

Lisa Bar being refurbished, but little recent progress.

I think I may have to change the title of this thread as I do seem to feature many abandoned premises and premises in the process of demolition.  I posted some photographs yesterday of Made in Thailand; whilst passing today the speed in which the demolition is going on surprised me.  Anyway todays shots are below.

The night market, located on Second Road almost opposite Central Festival was open, but I would say that less than 25% of the stalls were occupied.  That said there was a variety of different items on sale; probably same variety of goods available, just fewer outlets selling them.

A grey and misty day today, but still very warm.  Although we dine in Terminal 21 at least twice per week, I have not done a thorough run through with the camera.  Shopping Malls seem to have become a little contentions in some parts of the forum, so below are a few samples.  A thread covering Terminal 21 in detail is linked as below; it may or may not interest everyone.

Pretty busy ehh John ? lol

I was there 1100 1200 noon.  Pretty quiet though not by any means deserted.  Photographs probably make it look quieter; I will not take pictures of people going about their everyday shopping and dining.  Several shots I had to wait for people to move on but rarely more than a minute or two.

To misquote the Double Diamond ad "They're only there for the Air'! "
