Where do you start?.

4 of our top 5 batters scored 11 runs between them, 2 of them are meant to be our world class saviour's. That is just not good enough. Middle order got us out of a fucking embarrassing score total as usual. Would have been on a par with NZ's 62 against India the other week. God knows how far we will be behind when they have finished batting.

Whoever chose to omit both Anderson and Broad needs shooting. Dropping our two most experienced test bowler's?. Fucking madness!!. Everyone knows Woakes struggles overseas, so you drop guys who have won series in Australia?. Fucking mental.

We deserve to lose.

Stokes had Warner with his fourth ball of the match, but it was a no ball so Warner got to come back for another go

Umpires having a shocker - Ponting fires up

The issue of front foot no-balls is back in the spotlight after Channel Seven cameras revealed Ben Stokes overstepped the line multiple times in the lead-up to his ball that bowled Warner.

Cricket officials are yet to adopt live front-foot technology in Test cricket and may want to consider doing so if this continues to happen.

Had Stokes been told straight away he was overstepping the line, he could have moved his bowling mark back.

But because the umpire didn’t intervene, Stokes loses out. Sure, the right decision was made because Stokes did overstep when he bowled Warner, but the umpire should be picking those up before such a big moment occurs.

Leach's first 3 overs go for 31. Fucking crap for a T20 spinner never mind a test one.

Omitting Broad and Anderson is certainly looking like a tactical masterstroke. 🤣

Well at least it should be all over tomorrow....back to the drawing board

2-67 ENG Trail by 211

 2.32pm
Meanwhile, England’s other batters aren’t much better

Down the road at Ian Healy Oval, Australia A are on fire against the England Lions.

Australia A made 213 in their first innings before bowling the Lions out for just 103 in 43.3 overs.

Michael Neser was the pick of the Australian bowlers with 5-29 from 15.3 overs. Leg-spinner Mitch Swepson picked up 2-26 from nine overs.

None of the Lions’ top five batters made it to double figures.

Either of two things will happen...

1. England will bat through until near close tomorrow, setting a target of 250 ish, Leach will find some form and rip through the Aussies,  all over by tea on day 5 for a famous England victory.

2. England will suffer a predictable batting collapse and it'll be over by tea on day 4

My money's on number 1. But then, I believe in Santa.

Not really, he was always a test player, just an aggressive one.

Fine line between aggressive and reckless though. And at test level that can be very costly. Far too many batsmen get out to wild swings these days when they should just leave the ball like they used to in the past.

You can’t call into question DW’s career though, it’s worked for him more often than not.

Congratulations to the Aussies, fully deserved victory.

We lost the match in the session before lunch on day one, was never going to come back from a start like that. Oh well, hopefully we can see an improvement next match.

Yep well done Oz...congrats to Cummins on his first test as captain

We however have lots to think about before next test.

Yes mate, Pat led from the front with a five for in the first innings. Can't ask more than that from him.

Is Hazelwood okay, as he was rather under bowled second innings compared to the other pace men?.
